It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was the time when all you cared about was updating your MySpace profile song and getting a bad a** new lunchbox.
It was a magical time full of emo-scene hair styles, Silly Bandz, and Hershey's chocolate flavored chapstick. Luckily for us, we were given these incredible gems to look back on. Try not to smile at these.
1. Aaron Carter
"Aaaaaron, oh Aaaaaron. What are we going to do with you?"
I used to jam out to this on one of those key chain boomboxes. I actually think I still have his poster somewhere..
2. The Motorola Razr.
Only the cool kids on the block had these bad boys.
3. Crunching your hair.
You all know you remember this. You'd get out of the shower, towel dry your locks, then spray this baby in and crunch away. You'd go to school with half-damp hair and spend all of third period crunching those few super hard strands.
4. The iPod
I can't name a single 2000's teen who's Christmas list didn't contain this.
5. Tom from MySpace
Oh, Tom, our first social network friend. Little did we know that we would one day be sucked into the abyss that is social media.
6. LimeWire
No kid these days knows the intense sadness that overwhelmed us when we waited so long for a song to download, only to realize it was 12 seconds of a radio rip.
7. The perfect mix CD for all your friends.
They've got a birthday coming up? Load up a blank CD with some your/their faves. It is way more sentimental than a new Bath and Body Works set.
8. Disposable Cameras
"Let's take a selfie!" "So how'd it turn out?" "IDK, I gotta get my Mom to get the film developed."
9. Track Suits - velvet edition
You can admit it, these were your life.
