“Also I want state that I am morally opposed to psychology. It is a Jewish invention, and does nothing but invent diseases and tell people they have problems when they don’t," Dylann Roof writes in his journal. “I would like to make it crystal clear, I do not regret what I did,” Roof wrote. “I am not sorry. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed.”
For those of you who don't know who Dylann Roof is, he is a white supremacist who was recently convicted of killing nine African Americans at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., back in June 2015. Video evidence shows Roof walking in the church during the bible study at 8:17 AM, and walking out at 9:07 AM, gun in hand. The next day, police found him driving in Shelby, N.C. and arrested him.
In Roof's interrogation with the FBI, he revealed the events that occurred on June 17th, 2015, as well as his sickening beliefs and proceeded to explain them to the agents. This is how the conversation went when FBI agents asked what he did at the church on that day:
“I went to that church in Charleston, and I uh, did it”
“Did what?”
“I kill-, I guess, I don’t really know.”
Dylann Roof barely choked the word "killed" from his throat. For somebody who feels their race is stronger, better, and superior over another, he seems to be a total coward. Roof made it clear to agents that he did committed this crime not because he felt that the white race is the one that is superior, but rather because the reason he committed this crime was to raise awareness for black on white crimes, “I had to do it because nobody else is going to do it,” Roof says, “I don’t think the white race is the dominant race I wish it was though. I think it should be and that’s the problem.”
Dylann is clearly mixed up with what he thinks are issues within himself, this country, and the world. First of all, he doesn’t have general knowledge of anything that had occurred for thousands of years. Since the days of Christopher Columbus, people who weren’t white were enslaved and treated like objects rather than humans. Was it Native Americans who came to his country and started taking over? No. Was it African Americans who treated whites as property, and sold them as slaves? No. Do people of color have the same privilege white people do? NO. The white race is the dominant race, and that is the problem.
Roof has been found guilty and is awaiting sentencing, possibly facing the death penalty. He plans to represent himself through his sentencing and rejected help from lawyers and doctors in terms of making the case of his mental health, “There is nothing wrong with me psychologically,” Roof says.
Dylann, this is where you’re also wrong. There IS something wrong with you psychologically. You had the will to walk into a church full of innocent worshippers and murder them, based on the color of their skin. In what world is that normal? This just contradicts your statement on black on white crimes, because you committed a white on black crime. Killing innocent people based on their skin color in a church hasn’t solved your so-called “problem” of whites not being superior, and it never will. It just goes to show the kind of cold-hearted, racist, ignorant, disgrace of a human you are.
Dylann Roof, you are proof that white supremacy is alive, and that racism still exists today as it did in the past.
