This past Monday I had an interesting and new experience. I was around drunk people, while I was stone cold sober and to be honest with you it sucked.
While you are drunk around other drunk people you bounce off of each other and just have fun. Alcohol is a social drug that promotes conversation and allows people to loosen up and just have fun. It makes sense that this product has made its way into many of our daily lives.
But being sober around drunk people is the complete opposite. They're loud, don't stop talking or laughing and are just plain annoying. They are like little children that need to be watched over for every single second. They run around and it's scary. You feel responsible for grown people that should be able to take care of themselves but can't due to the drug they put in their body.
Why would anyone want to hang out with people like that? The answer is you don't.
If at all possible I would avoid a situation like this it's just truly awful. You feel left out and really pissed off. If you don't drink then I would recommend that you hang out with people that also don't drink. I give props to people who do this all the time.
