Please read at a steady pace and play this song before you begin.
Dear friend,
Whenever I listen to this song, I hear raindrops crashing. Their stunning view is very brief, as they land on the bus window. The window is very foggy. Foggy enough to draw a picture, perhaps a smile. The stop lights and street lamps crack, showing a fuzzy luminous glow. The car headlights are chasing one after another, like a game of tag. It's cold, very cold. I can see my breath.
He takes a step out of the bus, and continues his course. Each and every footprint, to get to where he is going. Nothing is stopping him. The drops crash against his skin. as they race away distant. But he keeps walking. Walking, as the rain and everything else, is drowned out.
Pedestrians are passing, gone and before him. The city nights, and dim lights, fade as they begin to appear. The sounds of taxis beeping, kisses the edge of the sidewalk. He doesn't know where he's going. He doesn't know why it's so important. He just knows, he's trying to get there, and there is nothing stopping him.
Did you ever really want something badly? So badly that it was all you could think about? Everything else was just clouded out? Well, what's the point in just jumping straight to the end? It takes the joy out of it, doesn't it? Why rush that? Don't, because it will be worth the wait.
And you want to wait, because the longer it takes, the more and more you want it. The bigger and bigger it builds up. It's the journey up to it, that makes the destination worth the stop. It's not about the destination, but the journey to get there. But don't wait too long. Before you know it, it may slip from your grip. So hold on tight, as you make your way.
The best part about what you want, is the lead up to it. The moment right before it happens. It's like a big, drum roll. If you just skip to the end, it would ruin the everything. It would ruin the mirage. Destroy the excitement. The wonder of the uncertain. It doesn't build up the suspense, of what you thought, could have been. Because when you finally get there, it will amaze you. It'll be worth waiting. And to your dying day, you'll remember everything about it, as perfect.
I think we all need that from time to time...
So many things go wrong in life, that sometimes it may end up robbing, of what could've been. It's nice to have something to look forward to, just don't skip any chapters, before you finish the book
