We all have fears. We all have those little things eating at the back of our minds. You know, the "what ifs." Especially in today's society, we don't know when we could take our last breath. I have fears, yes, but I have peace knowing that no matter what happens next, God is with me.

The New American Standard Bible includes the phrases, "do not fear," 57 times and, "do not be afraid," 46 times. It is told that, "fear not," and other similar phrases are present in the Bible 365 times. The Lord reminds us daily that we should not be fearful, but rather we should tackle our fears in hope for a better life.

Fear has slowly began to destroy us. Fear keeps us from loving others the way we should. How can we love to our full potential when fear is preventing you to take leaps of faith, how can you take the risks that love calls for when you are filled with fear?

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27

How is it that we are supposed to live our daily lives when the fear of random mass murders eats at us? We have to put our hope and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ so that we may live! Not live for the world, but live for Him, He who gives us life. We were not called to live a life of fear, we were not called to live a life full of fun and games, we were called to live our lives for Him and build His Kingdom, and glorify Him in every thing that we do.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

You see, this world is full of evil. If I did not have my faith, I would fear nearly everything that crossed my path, but I do not have to live in fear, because He is with me. He is here with every single one of us, and walking through every step of our lives with us. He knows each and every one of us by name, and He will not forsake us. So let me encourage you today to stop being afraid, stop being afraid to love, and stop being afraid to walk through your daily life, because you are not alone. Let God drown your fears in His perfect love.

There is no fear in love. Perfect love puts fear out of our hearts. People have fear when they are afraid of being punished. The man who is afraid does not have perfect love.
