The week before Spring Break everyone is on edge, and not because of the anticipation of boozing on a beach in just a few short days. No, the week before spring break is when all hell breaks loose. It is normal to have four exams, three projects, two papers, and one mental breakdown.

As I am going through this week right now, I got back from the library and started thinking “I would be so much better off just dropping out and becoming a server or bartender or something.” Here are 8 times we say “I’m dropping out of college” and almost mean it.

1. When you get the right answer but for SOME REASON you are still wrong.

2. When they close your favorite restaurant in the student union.

3. When it is sub-zero temperatures and you STILL don’t get a snow day.

4. When you check your bank account after a night out on the town.

5. When you actually feel like you’re finally ahead of your school work and then it all goes wrong.

6. When all your friends are going out on a Thursday but you have an exam at 8 am the next morning.

7. When you actually go to class and your laptop is about to die.

8. When you don’t have enough money to eat so you have sleep for dinner.

Sorry mom, I'm outta here.

You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
