I recently got a car during Thanksgiving break and I am so thankful for it!! I got a small Volkswagen Golf and I love it. I drive it everywhere I go (with my mom by my side of course since I don't have my license yet - I get it when I turn seventeen in January).


The past few days I have been seeing so much roadkill while driving. One time, I saw two dead cats on the side of the road consecutively. It freaked me out and I was filled with sympathy for them. It's just sad to see the poor animals that died most likely of a car (could be another animal but still).

Another incident that happened after getting my car is with a deer. There are many deer near where I live, and when I was driving at night one day, a deer just ran into the road right in front of me out of nowhere. I was extremely surprised and panicked. My headlights were on; the deer luckily just passed by shortly. After that, I am really cautious when driving at night, especially in areas near my house because it is around forests.

Overall, I am super thankful to be able to drive a car that I can now call mine!! I cannot wait to get my license soon so I can start driving it on my own.
