The Best Drinks You'll Ever Put Your Tongue On

The Best Drinks You'll Ever Put Your Tongue On

As the summer heat is coming back, we have to find a way to stay cool. For me, that means hitting up the nearest Starbucks or Sonic during sale times (6-10am is .99 cent large drinks, 2-4pm is half priced drinks) and grabbing something delicious to drink. Since I have now been a Starbucks barista for a year, one of my favorite things to do is try different drink creations of my own. So, I've decided to share my favorite Starbucks and Sonic creations with you!

Starbucks

1. Strawberry Lemonade - Caffeinated

This is one of my favorite drinks of all time, not only because it tastes great, but because it has caffeine in it! This drink is absolutely delicious! I'm a stickler about my drinks being made with light ice because when the ice melts, your drink gets watery and gross!!

Here's how you order it:

Strawberry Acai

No Water, Sub Lemonade

No Strawberries (I hate them, but you could leave them in!)

Light Ice (One of the most important things about ordering the drink!)


2. Pink Drink

This drink sounds a little unusual, but I promise it tastes great!

How to order:

Strawberry Acai

No Water, Sub Coconut Milk

Light Ice


3. Lemon-Lime Refresher

If you like the flavor of Sprite, you will love this one!

How to order:

Cool Lime Refresher

No Water, Sub Lemonade

Light Ice


4. Gummy Bear Tea

Yes, you read it right. This combination will make your tea taste like a Pineapple Haribo Gummy Bear! Yum!

How to order:

White Tea

Pineapple Infusion

Flavor with an extra pump of Classic Sweetener (T: 4 total, G: 5 total, V: 7 total)

Light Ice


5. Jolly Rancher Tea

This is one of the most creative drinks I've ever come up with, but it's to die for!

How to order:

Passion Tea

No Water, Sub Strawberry Acai

Strawberry Infusion (Yes! Make sure you tell your Barista, Strawberry Infusion to the line, then Strawberry Acai to the water line, they'll know what you're talking about!!)

Regular amount of Classic Sweetener

Light Ice

Pour Peach Infusion over the top

This may sound disgusting but I promise it tastes so good!


6. Cotton Candy Tea

I don't know if cotton candy is the exact right flavor to equate this drink with, but it's one of my all-time favorites!

How to order:

White Tea

Sweeten with Raspberry (T: 2 pumps, G: 3 pumps, V: 4 pumps)

Sweeten with Classic (T: 1 pump, G: 1 pump, V: 2 pumps)

Light Ice


7. Heath Bar Latte

This drink is for those of you who like Toffee!

How to order:

Latte

Made with Breve (1/2 and 1/2)

Sweeten with Vanilla (T: 3 pumps, G: 4 pumps, V: 5 pumps)

Sweeten with Toffee Nut (T: 1 pump, G: 2 pumps, V: 3 pumps)

Light Ice


8. Cookies and Creme Frappuccino

This is for you Oreo lovers out there!

How to order:

Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

Add Java Chips


9. Strawberry Vanilla Frappuccino

This tastes just like the strawberry creme candy I used to eat as a kid! Super sweet, but very tasty!

How to order:

Strawberry Frappuccino

Sweeten with regular pumps of Vanilla


10. The Hannah Special

This drink is my favorite thing to order when I'm not counting calories. It's a spin-off the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino!

How to order:

Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

Made with Heavy Cream

An extra scoop of Vanilla Bean Powder

Light Ice

That marks the 10 best Starbucks creations I have to offer you. Hopefully, you're daring enough to try one!


Sonic

1. Ocean Water 2.0


This is good as a drink, but also yummy ordered as a slush!

How to order:

Ocean Water

Vanilla

Nerds

Light Ice


2. The Perfect Sprite


This is a drink I decided to try on my own, and it turned out great! This is my friends' favorite drink for me to bring them!

How to order:

Sprite

Cranberry

Vanilla

Light Ice


3. Orange Dreamsicle


This order may sound a bit weird, but I promise it tastes just like an orange creamsicle!

How to order:

Fanta Orange

Vanilla

Heavy Cream over the top

Light Ice


4. Beach Lovers


This drink is for those of you who like pineapple!

How to order:

Pineapple Slush

Add Mango Flavor


5. Purple Lemonade


This may sound like a weird combination, but definitely a good pairing!

How to order:

Lemonade

Add Grape Flavoring


6. Vanilla Rootbeer

This is my favorite go-to drink!

How to order:

Rootbeer

Add Vanilla Flavoring

Light Ice


These are all my favorite Sonic orders, be sure to try one the next time you go! I really hope that you find a drink somewhere in this whole mix that you enjoy!
