As most young adults know, the life of a student can be difficult. College students can have it tough with the ever weighing-down pressure to make it in the business world and afford all those toys you want on minimal incomes. With that in mind I've found a variety of new inventions to help smooth over the rough patches of a broke college student. I'll be breaking these inventions up into a serious of articles, each focusing on a specific topic and the new inventions within those categories.
First lets focus on the essentials. Coffee or tea or whatever hot drinks suit your fancy.
I know for me, it always sets the day to start off with a drink in my hand, preferably something warm. Whatever you like, be it warm or cold, here are the latest drink ware inventions to date.
1. The Coffee holder umbrella
As funny as it looks, imagine no more awkward fumbling trying to hold both your drink and the umbrella along with papers or your caf take out box.
2. The Mug Lock
This is perfect for those who have a particular mug they like to use and don't want to share. The idea is that after you're done drinking you can rinse it out then take the plug out so it can't be used unless put back in. A bit evil, but it works.
3. Bike Coffee Holder
This is great for regular cyclists and when you are going from the campus coffee house to your next class.
4. Coffee Joulies
I can attest to the number of times I've gotten impatient waiting for my coffee or hot chocolate or tea to cool down, that I just end up burning my tongue. Not anymore! With these stainless steal coffee beans that help keep your drink hot while at the same time absorbing the excess heat so you don't burn yourself, you're set! How neat!
5. French Press Mug
I personally love this! As someone that owns 2 french presses and multiple loose leaf tea makers, which french presses can be used for as well, I can make quite a lot of beverages. However there are times when I just want one cup of coffee and I'm done, especially on a busy class schedule day when in the mornings and 1 cup is all I have time; god knows I'm not waking up earlier than I have too. This 1 cup french press mug is absolutely perfect if you're in the same situation as I am!
6. The MINIPRESSO
This little guy is great for backpacking when you want a break from school, or for those long road trips back home every other weekend. You can buy either the one that makes ground coffee or one that uses pre-made cups, similar to Keurig and the Minipresso is very compact-able.
7. The Goat Mug
This is neat looking to-go mug that you can strap to any bag and just run off. You can also wear the strap like a satchel, just don't burn yourself accidentally!
8. The GoJoe
This coffee mug is the first battery-operated brewer and mug. All that's needed is a coffee pod, pour in some some water and hit ‘power’. There are two temperature settings and it can even make a cold-drip brew!.
9. The Handcoffee Auto
This coffee brewer was made for people who love to drive and cannot resist having their coffee! For all those long trips home or a weekend getaway to a city a few hours away, this is just for you! It fits in the cup holder and plugs into the cigarette lighter. Best of all it only takes 4 minutes to make the coffee.
10. The Lazy Teapot
If you are prone to spills as much as I am, then this is just for you. This teapot is great because you won't need to lift it to pour the tea. Therefore, no spills. Really it should be called the practical tea pot, not the lazy one.
