Though the older generation may say us millennials are ruining EVERYTHING, don’t be so quick to judge. Because even though, yeah, we might be a little lazy or we don’t stick to the “norms” of society, millennials really got sparkling water trending. But enough of me talking about the conflict between millennials and the “older generations,” because I have a confession to make. My name is Sammy Cho and La Croix changed my life.
1. 0 calories
Of course, this is my number 1 reason because along with how delicious it is, sparkling water is JUST WATER. Which means, as long as you buy the sparkling water that has no “add-ins” you won’t be consuming any extra calories that soda would have. Additionally, the health benefits are equivalent to if you were just drinking regular water (but you shouldn’t limit yourself to just sparkling water). So what am I saying? La Croix is basically healthy soda
2. It’s actually tasty!!
La Croix is refreshing and delicious!! Okay, I’d be lying if I said I liked La Croix from the start… it definitely grew on me. But now I can’t envision my life without the stuff. There are a variety of flavors, from plain to Pamplemousse, and you can pick the one that suits your fancy! When you crack open a can, it’s just as good as any other drink on a hot sunny day and it gets the job done, in other words, quenches your thirst as good as Gatorade or an ice cold soda.
3. It makes you step out of your comfort zone.
Of course, La Croix isn’t for everyone, but that’s just the way of life. Unlike in Europe, sparkling water is not super common (although it is on the rise) in the U.S., so most people may feel it’s a bit out of their norm to be drinking sparkling water. But who tf cares? Step out of your comfort zone! Try something new! It could be LIFE CHANGING.
4. It’s (relatively) cheaper.
You’re really only paying for water, so why would it be more expensive than regular water? Ok sure, price does vary by amount and flavor, but overall, La Croix is cheaper than other commercial beverages. With most of us ballin' on college budgets, this seems like the ideal way to spend our money. Oh, just me?
5. You gain a whole new perspective(s).
Wow. Is soda really worth it? Why drink something so unhealthy it causes your teeth to fall out and your body to hate you? What would life be without soda? Get hooked on La Croix or sparkling water in general, and I can almost guarantee you, you won’t turn back, and you’ll probably see the world in a new, hippie-like, world-peace, environmental activist, type of way.
So listen, I know I can’t change your mind completely on the subject, but if I were you, I'd give it a shot. It's 2017 for goodness sakes, you may end up surprising yourself.
