I have always been a kid at heart (see picture above). Kids are amazing. They seem to have few fears and no inhibition. They say and do what they want! Not only would I like to live a life where I am not afraid, where I am willing to take risks and go for what I want - I also would like to take one more thing from these small humans - their fashion.
1. Frilly socks
In my book, frilly socks have been rad since day one -- literally. And thank God they have made a comeback.
2. Sneaks

3. Baseball Hats
Baseball hats are classic. I assume (although I have never been a parent) that parents put their kids in hats because they have spaghetti in their hair or they didn’t have time to wash it…? For adults, it's similar. You woke up late for brunch, (but still want to look pulled together), or you’re hiding your dirty hair. Right now you can wear a baseball hat to the gym, lunch with friends and, if styled correctly, to a bar or club! I have a solid pale pink baseball hat that I can wear to literally anywhere, because it is so basic. I highly recommend buying a solid because of their versatility.
The other amazing thing about hats right now if you can get almost anything on them! They can be so personal to who you are!
4. Braids, Pigtails and Space buns, oh my!
I don't know if we have Anna and Elsa to thank for this, but braids are in! Bless! Braids are such a fun way to have your hair out of your face. Pigtails are an oldie but a goodie and space buns.....how did I ever live without you?
5. Sun dresses
Sundresses are the best go-to. You look like you're dressed up, when really you could have picked the dress up off the floor of your bedroom. Sundresses are great because you can dress them up or down. Put a leather jacket over your dress with a pump and you're ready for a night out. Put on a jean jacket and Converse and you're ready for a walk in the park.
7. Rompers
Rompers are one of the most amazing fashion inventions ever. Rompers can look casual or dressy and you can teach, dance or do cartwheels without being worried about anything.
8. Fake Glasses
You know how Claire's has all of those fake glasses that you see worn mostly by middle schoolers? Even though I may not need glasses, I may want to wear them sometimes! I just bought a couple really cheap/cute pairs on Amazon. I also hear great things about EyeBuyDirect.
9. Graphic Tees
So happy that not only do kids get hilarious t-shirts, so do we! There are awesome websites like Pinterest, Wanelo and Etsy where you can get some amazing unique shirts.
10. Scrunchies
I think the Tanner sisters from "Full House" knew they were doing something right! Scrunchies are a great way to have your hair up, with a little bit of color! Claire's is a great place to buy them cheap, you can make your own, or buy them from Etsy, Amazon, Topshop and Urban Outfitters!
