When you first start going to college, it is no short of an emotional rollercoaster. On one hand, you may be hyped beyond measure as this new phase of your life sets in, but on the contrary, you are also expected to act like a grown-up and have your act together out of the blue, which brings a whole lot of uncertainty about the future with it.

One big part of this whole "adulting" thing is the job hunt; be it an internship or a full-time opportunity, looking for a job can be a stressful process for all students alike. Especially when you are a freshman at a Big 10 school and career fair season sets in just as the trees start to turn wondrous hues of golden.

That being said, if you feel like you are in the same boat, this is what I will tell you: we have all been there at some point in our lives, and frankly, it is perfectly okay to not have it all together. In fact, if you find yourself worrying about your future, it's a good thing because that is where the process starts. So don't compare yourself to the upperclassmen who soldier up and make talking to recruiters look effortless – they too, were where you stand today and to get from here to there, you need to focus solely on yourself.

Given how the education system operates, it is not difficult at all to fall into a vicious cycle of juxtaposing yourself and your accomplishments with those of others. But it is when you're tempted to do the most that you need to muster all the self-control that you can, and use this as a positive driving force.

As an international student, I spent the first two years of my college career struggling to just cope with everything new that was going on and trying to ascertain who I was and who I wanted to be. In retrospect, I now realize just how important it was to just push through it without letting it leave an indelible mark on my self-identity.

So wherever you might be today, don't let the hustle of the college life intimidate you. Instead, embrace it and let it take you to all the wonderful places that you are meant to go and do all the amazing things you set out to do.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
