Even If You Don't Like Any Candidates, You Should Still Cast Your Vote

Politicians may not be the most honest people, or we may not like one or the other, but your vote still counts.

Even If You Don't Like Any Candidates, You Should Still Cast Your Vote

Though you can register at 17.5 years old, 18 is the age you are legally allowed to vote in The United States. The history of how all Americans can now vote is a little hectic, but when the results come out, every citizen who can vote in a state simply does not.

It is yet another election year in the United States for the office of the Presidency position. This-for the most part-happens every four years. With it being that time of year again, many campaigns are currently happening throughout the country along with debates. To me, it does not matter where you are on the political spectrum, what your views are or who are like more than someone else. What matters to me is if you voted or not.

While I have been paying attention to candidates on both sides and speaking with people around me in my life, it's looking like the 2016 elections all over again. I will say there are strong candidates from each side, however, it's a matter of who to cast our vote to represent not just ourself, but to represent the nation as a whole. Although it is good to associate your interests with the candidate you like most, what do you do if there isn't anyone you like?

While I am no political scientist or researcher of any kind, I still suggest people vote. Voting seems to be becoming an unpopular thing amongst people nowadays. While the people up for the position may not be the greatest, one of them deserves a chance at the position at the end of the day. People should also do their research on the candidates as well, it could help decide your final decision.

If you're still not wanting to vote and don't end up doing it, then you can't complain. No vote equals no complaint. If someone doesn't vote in the election in and complains about who won, they shouldn't. Those who want their voice heard should vote for the candidate that represents their voice for them.

Your vote matters.

Your voice matters

You will be counted.

Regardless of whether or not politics are your thing, each American who is legible to cast a vote should. Though you are not required to, you would be doing a good service by helping pick a leader for our nation.

I hope to see a great voter turnout in each state in the November election. If you are not registered to vote, go and do it!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
