Donald Trump Supporters And Political Correctness

Capitalizing on political incorrectness has a true message of underlying fear and ignorance.

Trump supporters love that Trump "says it like it is" and will be "vigilant" in the fight against non-issues. Media scolds Trumps crassness, as well, saying he is too tough to run our country. I disagree. Trump is one of the softest candidates in a while.

The main reason he is soft, however, is that he and his supporters fear political correctness. Many conservatives are backlashing at political correctness, especially with the #Trump2016, #BlackLivesMatter, and #IAmCait among other social issues brought to the forefront of the media. Those who are against political correctness do not know how to respond to issues they do not comprehend, and they're too ignorant to research past their position of privilege. They would rather sit back and say everyone else is over-complicating everything.

Political correctness often times refers to every social justice issue, including gay rights, women's rights, transgender people and racism. People who don't like to face the fact that their position and exploitation of their own privilege may contribute to any of those pressing issues is scary. They don't like blame and are the true people who are afraid of words. They kick transgender people out of the bathrooms they have been using for the past 40 years, that are theirs and that they pose no threat to and have the audacity to compare college campus safe spaces for students victimized by racial slurs while trying to get an education is just "whining." Donald Trump will not build a wall or deport anybody. Most of what he says he will do, he legally cannot do. Trump supporters call themselves the "silent majority." Another example of them being proud of ignorance, of silence. Why be the silent majority? Even if you support Trump, why be silent about it? Why wouldn't you want to openly support what you believe in? Because they are afraid of intellectual conversation and what they do not know.

He wasn't tough enough to be a ruthless, successful businessman. Well, maybe he was ruthless, but in no way tough. He was no pioneer of innovation or design, despite having a successful company where he has 100 percent say on the built design. He was a ruthless scammer, from Trump University to racial employment discrimination. No successful business man in the world will tell you Donald Trump is one of the most successful businessmen on Forbes' richest, let alone in the entire country. His father buttered up some hands to get him into one of the most prestigious business schools in the country and still didn't take advantage of that with zero distinguishable academic or business achievements. He had to rely on his father's influence and wealth, along with his own hundreds of millions of dollars in inheritance money.

He rarely delves into an issue, as shown by his repetition of "There's something going on!" Yeah, there is, Donald, and you have no idea what that is. Being tired of greed and corruption in politics is expected and valid; however, the answer is not to elect someone with no education, experience or credentials in politics or law to the highest political position in our country, especially someone who boasts their ignorance in politics and the legal system.

Don't vote for Trump.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
