As ridiculous as it may sound, Donald Trump may or may not have stolen his campaign tactics from our mothers. Yes, I just said that. It's hard for us to notice through all the craziness that he puts out into the world, but it's slightly hilarious at the same time. Our mom's are some of the smartest and strongest people on this Earth, so I mean who could really blame Trump for wanting to be like them.
It's truly ironic, because how can you be a blatant mysongynist when your campaign tactics and personality are based on all of the best Total Mom Moves? Here are some of the seven things Donald Trump has learned from our mothers.
1. His thoughts on "winning".
Trump: ^^^
Mom: "We're gonna get to this tournament and I want you guys to win big and win hard. Work hard and never stop, boys!"
Oh boy, here we go.
2. When he gives people ridiculous nick names.
If your mom hasn't given one of your peers a ridiculous nickname, I feel sorry for you. It's just one of those things, people.
Trump: Crooked Hillary, Lyin' Ted, Little Marco
Mom: B*tchy Nick, Lingo
... Same thing.
3. When he just did whatever he wanted to.
Mom: Yeah, I really don't care how you feel about it. It's happening.
4. When he plays the doomed card.
Trump: If Hillary Clinton becomes President everyone will die and the world will end!!!
Mom: If you don't do your English homework you're semester is over. You're going to fail.
5. The facial expression he makes when he's wrong.
Just think about it.
6. When he came back at Paul Ryan with his own words.
Straight out of the sassy mom play book. Telling Paul Ryan that he didn't know if he would/could endorse him when Ryan said that to him first..
In our households it goes a little something like this: "Mom I don't feel like unloading the dishwasher" .. "Yeah well I don't feel like taking you to your friends house". Burn.
7. When he brags about his kids all the time.
Trump: Congrats on hunting that cheetah and elephant today, son!
Mom: So proud of you for getting an A+ in your online class, honey!
They love us unconditionally, regardless of what it is that we've accomplished.
So as you can see, Donald Trump has essentially been mimicking our strong mothers. Ironic, yet iconic.
