18 Signs You're An Obsessive Dog Lover

For all of my fellow college students who are hundreds of miles away from their four-legged friend, I understand how hard it is to be away from them. Now, if you're reading this and you're not a college student, you can probably still relate. Growing up with a dog can be such a treat, but it can also turn us into obsessive dog lovers. You don't realize you are an obsessive dog lover until you realize that the only thing you talk about is your dog.

1. Your Instagram is filled with pictures of you and your pooch.

2. You talk to your dog like it is a human and wait for it to respond.

3. You would rather hang out with your dog all day than with real people.

4. You miss your dog more than your parents.

5. You are not grossed out by slobbery kisses (from your pooch only).

6. You constantly talk about your dog.

7. When you FaceTime your parents, you make sure you get to talk to your pup before hanging up.

8. You would rather snuggle with your warm and fuzzy dog than a human.

9. You pet every single dog you see...everywhere you go.

10. You go on outings with just your dog.

11. You stare at your four-legged best friend sleeping.

12. You don't understand how people can hate dogs.

13. You are not friends with people who hate dogs.

14. You want to cry when you find out someone is allergic to dogs.

15. You have pictures of your dog hanging everywhere.

16. You dream of buying a million puppies and being that "crazy dog lady" down the street.

17. Your dog holds such a big piece of your heart and you can't imagine your life without them.

18. You can't imagine replacing your current dog(s), but know that you will always need a furry friend in your life.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
