Everyone's been here. And, truthfully, it sucks. But in order to move on and get past something you need to allow yourself to feel it for what it is--all of the heartbreak and pain--and then you can start to take steps move on.

The Christmas season is coming to an end, but it's not too late to get some last-minute movies in! Unfortunately, this year didn't look like a typical Christmas. While we can't have any big Christmas parties or family gatherings, we can still celebrate at home! <p>The lesser-known Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer is still a classic for a lot of 2000s kids. While it's not as popular as the 1964 version, this movie still offers great music, quirky characters, and frosty villains. I recently rewatched this movie after years of not seeing it, and I'd definitely recommend it. It's perfect for a pre-Christmas celebration.</p>

<p>Another classic, can't forget "Frosty the Snowman!" This movie had its highs and lows: the singing, the devastation when you think he's melted forever. <p>Who could forget "The Christmas Without a Santa Claus?" Santa's origin story fascinated me as a kid. I loved watching the clay animated figures dance, sing, and watch the evolution of how Christmas came to be (according to this movie). The meisers are iconic, and many people my age still know their songs by heart! </p>

<p>The months of October-December guaranteed Charlie Brown and his dog on our TVs. Whether it was for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or in this case, Christmas, these films shaped a lot of our holiday experiences. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was perhaps the most popular. Everyone remembers the poor, tiny tree Charlie Brown had. The heartwarming movie is both nostalgic and maintains quality after all this time. </p>

<p>Before the era of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, we had Minty. This is the version of My Little Pony a lot of early 2000s kids grew up on. Minty had her own Christmas movie, and it was fantastic. In it, Minty accidentally breaks the Christmas Candy Cane and has to fly to the North Pole to make sure Santa can arrive in Ponyville in time for Christmas. There's singing, ponies, and lots of socks. What more could you ask for in a Christmas movie? </p>

Lots of kids who grew up with Good Luck Charlie put this movie up there with some of the best Christmas movies. With the usual charm of the show, this movie was even better than most of its usual episodes. We got emotional moments, family turmoil, Christmas magic, and the announcement of Amy's pregnancy.</p>

<p>I can't make this list without --dare I say it--the best Christmas movie of all time. Another movie based on a show, Drake and Josh are threatened with jail if they don't give Mary Alice and her foster family the best Christmas ever. Is the plot ridiculous and nonsensical? Sure. But that's what makes it a Christmas movie. With beloved characters like Helen, Megan, and Crazy Steve making frequent appearances, Christmas Carols, and cheese-snow...I don't think there's any other Christmas movie that comes close to "Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh."</p>

<p>ELF is a must-watch every year. It's hilarious, it's heartwarming, and it made me want to try spaghetti and maple syrup. If you can't recite ELF quotes off the top of your head, I just don't want to be your friend. A human-elf goes to New York City for the first time to find his biological father and ends up saving Christmas? I can't think of a more perfect plot. I will forever associate Pennies from Heaven with Christmas because of this movie alone. </p>

As we enter the new year, you might be looking for a great show to kick-off 2021. Look no further, I have the perfect recommendation. "The Wilds" was released on Amazon Prime last month and has been gaining traction steadily since then. This series of 10 one-hour episodes tells the stories of eight girls who find themselves on a deserted island after their plane crashed while they are on their way to a resort. Unlike other survival shows, there's a bit more to the story than what first meets the eye. This show is unique in characters, storytelling methods, and plot.

<p>While at first glance, the crashing plane doesn't seem very original, there is much more to the story. Rather than a freak accident, there is a sort of conspiracy taking place. They didn't crash by any accident. This was an orchestrated event, and they were picked one by one for this event. Without giving too much away, you become more invested and aware as the show goes on about what is truly happening to these girls. Aside from the major plot there are internal struggles and conflicts between the girls and plenty of internal conflicts. </p>

<p>The storytelling method used in "The Wilds" is unique and captures your attention in a great way. There is essentially one episode for each of the girls, telling their story. It flashes back to their life before the crash, to the island, to where they have been "rescued" and are being questioned. All of this gives us enough information to relate to and care for the character, but each of the episodes still leaves questions unanswered. By moving between past and present, the show never lingers on a place or time for too long, making it impossible to look away. </p>

<p>It is revealed early on that one of the girls on the island is actually working for the antagonists of the show--they were aware the plane was going to go down the entire time. So while you're watching them all try to survive, you're also looking for clues as to who it must be. The show does a great job of having each of the characters be suspected at one point or another so that the reveal is truly shocking. </p>

4. Characters
</h2>
<p>As mentioned before, each of the girls has an episode telling their story. "The Wilds" accomplishes the seemingly impossible task of making all of their main characters lovable. If not love, they are at the very least empathetical. These girls have all been through hell, even prior to the plane crash. They have suffered traumas that the audience can relate to. They show strength, vulnerability, vulnerability. They make mistakes. They all feel very <strong>real</strong>, and that's what makes you care for each of them so much. You root for them, you want them to be safe. Additionally, the antagonist is extremely powerful. She sends chills down my spine with every scene. She isn't objectively acting in malicious ways, which makes her even scarier. She has a justification for everything she does. Pair this with the fact that everyone in the cast is extremely talented-- the characters alone are enough to draw you in after one episode. </p>

<p>The show features two excellent examples of queer women. With just two stories, they manage to show completely different perspectives. One character struggles with homelessness and the lack of a guardian but is free to love who she loves and it is never really questioned. On the other hand, one girl is extremely privileged in terms of wealth and lifestyle but is in a very toxic environment that doesn't allow her to be who she is. By bringing these characters together who initially didn't get along at all, they are able to come to an understanding that is admirable and enthralling to watch.</p>

<p>Along with the queer representation, five of the eight girls on the island are people of color. One of the first Indigenous characters I've ever seen on teen television explores her identity and elements of her culture are shared and celebrated on screen. Having these different perspectives on the show lends to its relatability and the different dynamics between characters. </p>

They fight and they breakdown, they fail and they flourish. Watching all of the highs and lows as they navigate this impossible task is captivating. </p>

<p>CeraVe seems to be a really trusted brand for skin products. There are probably better brands for certain skin products, but from what I have learned, CeraVe has all-around quality products. I purchased their moisturizing cream and tinted sunscreen. <p>Back in the spring, females all over TikTok released information about an international store that sells very cheap clothing and accessories. I thought there had to be something wrong with the products if they are selling that cheap, but I have purchased from ROMWE several times now and the majority of the clothes are really nice and don't feel cheap. I just bought a two-piece swimsuit for less than $5. You do have to wait a few weeks for your order to arrive, but you can buy a ton of clothes and spend the same amount as you would on one or two items at any clothing store in the U.S. </p>
