DJ Khaled Believes 'We The Best'

If you're on social media at all nowadays, I'm sure that you have either seen or heard about the inspirational escapades of DJ Khaled on Snapchat. He puts his "friends" up close and personal to his daily activities which include, but are not limited to: rubbing his body in Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion, watering the tropical plants in his garden, riding his jet ski, and rinsing his mouth with that cleansing Listerine. He's probably one of the most popular celebrities on the app, and not just because he's famous and buys fancy things, but because he's so inspirational. Khaled radiates positive energy and the people love it! He's basically the modern Buddha. Think Buddha, except eating an apple and shouting, "BLESS UP!" Something like this:

Even though DJ Khaled dedicates a lot of his time to making snapchats, he still finds time to dedicate to his recording studio. His newest album was released in October 2015 and includes collaborations with some of the hottest names in the rap world: Future, Trey Songz, Jeremih, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, and the classic Usher. But when you've had enough of listening to him yell, "DEEJAYY KHAALED" in all of his songs – watch his snapchats and you'll swear it's different person. In his songs, he's this proud, rich rapper who is probably focused on getting money, hooking up with strippers, and maybe even getting into a fight outside a club. But then click on his snapchats and he's lathering up in his shower, eating gluten free french toast, and watering colorful flowers. Weird, right?

But there's one thing he's doing no matter what: Winning. Follow me, as we scroll through the journey of more success.

Major key: Make sure you shower and stay clean.

And DJ Khaled is a firm believer in the most important meal of the day. Can't forget those egg-whites, turkey sausage, and water. But he warns, "let me make this clear. They don't want you to have an amazing breakfast."

After breakfast, it's time to get outside. He makes sure to keep the metaphorical pathway of success clean too.

Another part of Khaled's daily routine is to water his plants. He names them and apparently he calls those white flowers his angles. (Angels Khaled, angels.)

In his garden, it's common to see LIIOOONNNN. His advice to his friends: "Always remember in the jungle, there's a lot of 'they' in there. After you overcome 'they', you will make it to paradise."

After a morning of hard work outside, it's time to see what Chef Dee whipped up for lunch. After the meal, they enjoy some Apple Ciroc because "when you successful, you must celebrate. Celebrate right, Apple Ciroc. Major key to success."

One things Khaled loves to do is ride his blue jet ski. He snapchats while riding and I'm not sure how safe this is, but he's still inspirational.

And the man clearly knows how to relax the right way. "Enjoy life man, live it up. Stay away from 'they'. Live it up man, have joy in your life."

They don't want you to get inspired by his snapchat, but add him anyway! Bless up.

If only we could live the lavish life like you, Khaled. If only.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
