I am going to Disney World in two weeks, and obviously I wanted some minnie ears to wear around the park. However, we all know how expensive those ears are when you buy them in the park, and honestly they hurt my head 99 percent of the time because the headband portion of the ears is so thick and heavy. So, I saw a few ideas on youtube, and decided to make my own ears! Here's exactly how I did it:

What you need:

A thick foam poster-board, a box cutter, scissors, a hot glue gun, fabrics of your choice, old minnie ears, a headband.

How to get started:

Take your headband and place it on the poster-board. Then use a pen to trace the arc (base of the ear that will touch the headband) where you would want each ear to be. Once you have that, draw the complete shape of the ear around each arc. (you can use an old pair of minnie ears to make it exact or you could just make them the size you want). Once you have this done, use a box cutter to cut out what you have traced. You should have two ears. If they are not exactly the same size, use a pair of scissors to trim them up. Now you will take the two ears and hot glue gun them together on top of on another to make it thicker. This is your first ear. Use your already created ear to trace two more ear shapes onto the poster-board, and repeat the same process.

Now take out your fabric and trace four ear shapes from your poster-board ears, then cut them out. You will use two pieces of fabric for each poster-board ear, one on each side. Simply hot glue fabric late on each side of the ears and fold over the excess to cover that poster-board.

Once this is completed, hot glue gun the two individual ears to your headband. Let this sit for a few minutes because you want them to be stuck pretty good on that headband. I suggest adding even a bit more glue than usual to make sure they do not fall off.

And what is minnie without her bow? So this part is a but hard to explain, because it's pretty much just folding two pieces of fabric, so here's a picture explaining it:

The only thing I added differently was a strip of fabric to tie around the middle of the bow to make it stay together, and skipped the last two steps.

Once you made your bow just simply glue it onto the center of your headband and there you have it, your own minnie ears!

Here's how mine came out:

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
