There are a lot of things in life that most people seem to really like, but I totally don’t. Halloween is one of those things. I never understood buying an overpriced costume made of a cheap material to go to a party that might not even be that great. I also hate the whole ‘risqué’ Halloween costume thing for women and never seem to dress ‘risqué’ enough, but that's a whole other issue. This year, I’m going to go out but I’m going to do it how I want to. With that, I present my DIY, cheap, and comfortable Halloween.
Last month, I saw this:
This costume speaks to me on so many levels.
- Mean Girls is the greatest cinematic venture of all time.
- I own more 2xl tee shirts than shirts that actually fit
- Mouse ears are adorable, like me.
With that, I knew this was my costume but this shirt was selling for $45 plus shipping. And the sorority girl in me said, "nope, you can craft it." With that, I headed to Michael’s and bought this shirt in black and these iron-on letters. Then I went to party city and bought these mouse ears. Total spent: $19 :) . Paired with some cute wedges, and a killer mouse makeup face. I’m done!
