In every culture, every time period, and every different region there is always one thing in common; music. Music is an expressive, creative way to portray feelings and opinions. It doesn't matter where you look, what you think, or how long you study, music has always been a primary way of showing expressive feeling towards controversial topics or anything else meaningful. Since the beginning of time newer and newer variations of music have sprouted things as simple as making a beat you could dance to. Without music, people would have less ways of defining themselves as a person. The majority of the world listens to music, it is next to impossible to find someone who doesn't listen to some genre of music. Music has always been a vital role in the world, and will always continue on to be, how music started though is a mystery towards everyone.
Consequently, music may have been in existence for at least 55,000 years and the first music may have been invented in Africa and then evolved to become a fundamental constituent of human life. Music is always different in other regions because it depends on culture, religion, access to innovative technology, and resources made available to the economy. Primitive music, the most ancient of genres, still exists in some isolated areas around the globe. Prehistoric music, as it is also is called, refers to the traditional songs sang by indigenous peoples of Europe and the early Americas. The songs as they made, were simply beats and rhythms against common objects- first beginning simply as sounds that made you want to tap your feet. It wasn't until later that lyrics began to evolve. In 2008 archaeologists discovered a bone flute in the Hohle Fels cave near Ulm, Germany, which proves that further back in history people created means for music.
Since then we've evolved, making string instruments and lilting sounds that only such things as a flute or oboe can create. We've made music to assist with making people feel better and music to show our anger and sadness. Music is the most expressive of arts in the world, certainly reading is one, and drawings or paintings, but music is universal and shared worldwide. It's a form of art that no matter how much a person denies it, everyone delves into. Without music the world would seem almost desolate in the sense that music makes up the background of everything; movies, entertainment, even some forms of art.
Music is a source of calm, another world designed by wonderful sound, a paradise unequal to anything. There are different formation, it speaks to each individual person on this planet and knows you better than even yourself. It's a glowing light in the midst of bitter darkness, understands that no one else's heart beats quite like yours. It's the rush of adrenaline through your veins, the thrum of intensity bound to us on a whole other level. It walks with you, cradles you better than any pair of arms, and wails with you as you sink into your deepest sadness. Music is the skip in your step and the vibrancy to your twirl, the smile you paint along your face. It's like an explosion of colors against the back of your eyelids, it transports you from the terms of reality and grips you fiercely with a loving embrace. It produces ecstasy and passion, offers a pathway to your issues and holds your hand through the storm. It's the true inventor of dance, because certain souls cannot stand to hear such tuneful melodies and keep still. Not when it beckons you so persuasively, with the grace and care of a beautiful mother. It is love and excitement, it is the swirl of magic you lost faith in as a child, the gold we wish to obtain but never can truly possess. Music is life, music is breath, music is us. We are songs and sound, and we familiarize ourselves with it because it is our embodiment.
