If you are like most people who are obsessed with all things Disney, then you may agree that Disney brings out that hope and inner child we all need. Each movie connects with you on an emotional level and changes the way you look at life. Here are just a few times Disney questioned the way view my life:

1) "A Dream is a wish your heart makes" –Cinderella

We all have goals and aspirations. However, goals are just small steps to our endpoint. Those goals we set are for something bigger than us. When you desperately want to achieve your aspirations with all of your heart, you discover your dreams.

2)“Hakuna Manta” –Timon & Pumbaa

Hard work and diligence is key to conquering your dreams. However, we are all human (or lions) so it is okay to sometimes let go of worries we face. Life is too short to always try to control your surrounding.

3) “All it takes is a faith and trust” -Peter Pan

We always forget that we can’t control everything around us. As life goes on, one must trust that the universe is in our favor. Faith and trust guides the blind is the only way one can fly.

4) A true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart." - Zeus (Hercules)

Regardless of age, height, or even gender; anyone can be a hero. You don’t need super strength to prove to the world you can be heroic. Sometimes good intentions and a big heart are all you need to save the world.

5)“If you walk the footsteps of a stranger you'll learn things you never knew you never knew” -Pocahontas

It is easy to only see one side to every story. We are all different and rather than look at our differences we should embrace our similarities. If you truly open your heart and sympathize with even strangers you find wisdom, peace and understanding.

6) You don’t have time to be timid, you must be daring. -Lumière, Beauty and the Beast

Life is too short to not enjoy all the riches around you. You never want to grow up and look back regretting the moment you could have embraced. If you have the chance to travel or even fall in love, be daring, because time is far too precious.

7) “Some people are worth melting for” –Olaf

Loving someone can be one of the greatest gifts granted to us. Loving someone means to live life selflessly and always put them before yourself. Whether it’s loving a wife, a husband, a child, a mother, or a friend; those individuals will always be worth melting for.

8) “When life gets you down do you wanna know what you’ve gotta do? Just keep swimming!” – Dory, Finding Nemo

It will almost be impossible to live in this world and not feel down or like a failure. However, the only way to conquer life is to keep that head up high and just keep swimming. Who knows who or what you will find on that path beyond that horizon.

9) “The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work.”-Tiana, Princess and the Frog

Trust and have faith in this universe, but also remember that you must also put your part. Not everything in this life will be easy, so with your hard work you can become anyone you want to be.

10. “All our dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue it” –Walt Disney

The man who started it all knew that anyone, including himself can do anything they set their minds to do. All you need is some courage and faith and you can push mountains or even touch the lives of millions with your dreams.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
