I don't know about you, but watching Disney Channel original movies were how my weekends were spent in the early 2000's. Personally, I think Disney Channel's quality in movies and TV shows has gone way down since I was younger, but that is probably just because I'm older now and I see how cheesy everything is. Nevertheless, I can still sit down and watch any of the movies listed below and feel so happy and at home. They remind me of some of the best memories that I have of my childhood friends. In no particular order, here are the Disney Channel movies that made my childhood what it was. By the way, as I type this I am listening to the High School Musical soundtrack.
1. Angels in the Infield
This an oldie but a goodie.
2. The Color of Friendship
This was a classic Disney movie teaching us that friendship doesn't see color. What would a Disney movie be without a life lesson hidden within it?!
3. Luck of the Irish
One of my personal favorites.
4. Zenon
This was Raven in her prime.
5. Get a Clue
Lindsay Lohan made some of the most memorable TV movies before she took a turn for the worst.
6. Cadet Kelly
To be honest, Hillary Duff was my idol.
7. Double Teamed
Classic movie about sports and teamwork.
8. Right on Track
Who is that on the right? Yep! That is Brie Larson! She is nominated for an Oscar this year for her role in the movie 'Room'.
9. The Cheetah Girls
If you didn't dance along with these girls, then we can't be friends.
10. The Evan Steven's Movie
I have never laughed so hard at a Disney movie in my life. I wanted to be a part of the Steven's family. Shia Labeouf...I miss you.
11. Lizzie McGuire Movie
A classic.
12. Freaky Friday
I still watch this on a regular basis.
13. Halloween Town
I can't go through the month of October without watching this movie.
14. Pixel Perfect
15. Stuck in the Suburbs
Taran Killam is now a cast member on Saturday Night Live and used to make teenage girls' hearts throb as Jordan Cahill.
16. Go Figure
This was a story about an all-star hockey player.
17. Sky High
I remember when this was the only movie I watched for weeks. I have a clear memory from elementary school of me and my brother watching this over and over again.
18. High School Musical
I mean, come on. This will go down in history.
19. Jump In!
I danced to the song 'Jump to the Rhythm' in my 4th grade talent show...
20. Bridge to Terabithia
The first movie I cried to.
21. Camp Rock
Couldn't leave this one out!
