Discover the Key Benefits of a Washable Rug

You might be wondering if washable rugs are the way to go. I mean, can a rug really be washed? Washable rugs have taken the market by storm as consumers are seeing the long lasting benefits of owning a washable rug. Rugs are great for adding color to a room or filling out a room they may feel is too empty. People have been using rugs for a long time to transform rooms instantly. Some people even have rugs depending on the season to match the color scheme throughout their room or house. There are endless amounts of patterns and sizes for washable rugs that make them ideal for sprucing up a room and decorating a home. And that’s not even all. There are many key benefits to owning a washable rug that can transform your living space and make owning a rug easier than ever.

Long Lasting

Washable rugs are a great long lasting option for decorating a room. Because they are designed for washing machines, they are made durable. Some rugs aren’t designed to be spun around in the washing machine and therefore fall apart unless delicately cleaned. Washable rugs are made to withstand consistent machine washing so you can enjoy its beauty for a long time in your home.

Good for Kids and Pets

Have you ever gone to someone's home and they are very anal about their rug getting dirty? I mean, if their rug isn’t washable, I don't blame them! Non-washable rugs are expensive and a hassle to clean. Some of them can only be cleaned by professionals because the cleaning process has to be delicate and requires special tools. If you are trying to keep your rug pristine, it’s probably not a great rug for kids and pets. However, washable rugs are perfect for kids and pets because whenever they get dirty, you just toss it in the washing machine and it is all clean again. That way, you don’t have to cringe every time your pet walks on it with muddy paws or your child spills their drink on it because if we are being honest, it's very hard to never have a mess with children and pets. And instead of having to buy a brand new rug every so often because the last one got ruined by your kids, you can just get a washable rug that you can easily clean by letting the washing machine do all of the work.

Good for Allergies

It can be a pain to try and keep your house clean for those who have bad allergies. Dust, dirt, dander, and pollen can get trapped in rugs leaving you with itchy eyes and never ending sneeze attacks. You might try to vacuum as much as possible but with the dirt trapped into the fabric it can still be hard to get clean. Washable rugs are a great option for those with allergies because when you feel there is too much dust, dirt, dander, and pollen trapped in your rug, you can just throw it in the wash and allow your rug to get the deep clean that it really needs. Maybe you have a cat and you have friends or family coming over that are allergic. Instead of trying to vacuum it several times or even shampoo it, you can just quickly wash your rug and get rid of all of the buildup that causes allergic reactions. Your friends and family with allergies will surely thank you.

Saves Time and Money

Have you ever had to write in your calendar and block off a chunk of time to deep clean or shampoo your rug? Maybe you have really let your rug get bad and it’s at the point where you need to set aside a whole day to scrub it until it’s clean again. Of course, this kind of cleaning takes a chunk of time. With washable rugs you don’t have to block out time into your day to clean your rug. You simply just pick it up, put it in the washing machine, and then let it air dry while you accomplish other things.

Or maybe, you have to schedule with the cleaners to get your rug cleaned. This also takes planning and is often expensive. Therefore, you don’t want to get it done that often. Washable rugs don’t require a professional to come over and clean. They also don’t require carpet cleaners and tools to get the job done. All a washable rug requires is a washing machine and a place for it to dry. That’s it! Washable rugs can save you time and money by not needing much from you to get your rug all cleaned up.

Washable Rugs in Your Home

Getting a washable rug for your home may be a great option if you are looking for a rug that is long lasting, good for kids and pets, good for allergies, and saves you time and money. With them not requiring much to maintain, they are perfect for any space in your home that is needing the final touch of a rug.

Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
