There are MANY mixed emotions following the news, and fans are clearly still not over the last bomb shell that the band dropped. Weeks ago, Zayn Malik, a former member of One Direction, announced that he would be leaving the band to pursue a solo career. Fans were heartbroken. Now the band of five has become a band of four ... for now. Will Louis Tomlinson's impending fatherhood take a toll on the future of One Direction? Will he be heading in a different direction? If Louis were to leave One Direction, it would mean the loss of two vital members in a short period of time. The band would be left with just more than half of what they began with.
One Direction originated on "The X Factor" in 2010. Since then, the band has released hit albums and songs that have dominated the charts globally. They have won many awards for their achievements and have an extremely wide fan base. Although the band suffered the loss of an original member, they have continued as a band.
Many celebrity's careers have been put on hold once they begin a family. It may be that they realize being a parent is more important in the moment than traveling the world for their job. Working across the world from your child isn't the ideal situation for being a new parent. Some fan girls are still mourning the loss of the Jonas Brothers. Though they may have peaked in 2007, their official split in 2013 was a shock to the world. Although they claim they separated due to personal issues, such as brotherly fighting, it was hard for some fans not to notice that their split came right before the beginning of a world tour and before the birth of Kevin Jonas' first child. Kevin is now a full-time father, while Joe and Nick are pursuing separate careers. Is One Direction doomed to suffer the same fate?
The future parents, Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth, have yet to comment on the news of their future child together. Tomlinson and Jungwirth met through mutual friends after Tomlinson's breakup from his longterm girlfriend Eleanor Calder. They were spotted together multiple times in May, and have since become good "friends," according to friends of the musician. Briana Jungwirth, 23, is a stylist in Los Angeles. Tomlinson, who is also 23, calls London home. The pair live far apart, but are apparently going to try to make things work, so that they can both be involved in their child's life, according to friends.
Louis and the band are currently embarked on their On the Road Again Tour, which will end in late October. Many suspected that the tour would end after Zayn's exiting, but despite the hardship, the show must go on. Upon hearing the news regarding Tomlinson and Jungwirth, the tour faces more challenges in the upcoming months. Just as Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth have failed to comment on the recent news, the other three members of One Direction (Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan) have remained silent on the topic also. Will this be the end? Only time will tell the fate of One Direction.
