Finals week can be tough. Some stress while others don't. Finals have the ability to make or break your grade. So there's a ton of stress all around you. Relieving stress with music can help. Also there have been studies that show that music can help improve your learning ability. I Personally find that having music can lessen the stress. Here are my top songs that make me wanna get up and be productive. They are in no particular order and I don't own the videos that are in this article.

1. You Don't Own Me

I prefer this version because I first came across this version. Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, and Bette Midler are amazing role models in the film, at least towards the end. The movie this came from was 'The First Wives Club'. It came out in 1996. (source for info about the movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116313/?ref_=nv_sr_1)

2. That's My Girl

If you need a pick me up just listen to this song. It's so good. It inspires me to get up and get stuff done.

3. You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile

Again same with # 1 this was the first version I came across. I grew up with an 'Annie' cassette. This song

4. Tomorrow

The first one is just Annie. Skip to 1:35 if you just wanna hear the song in the second video. The Second is the reprise version. My sister and I were OBSESSED with this cassette. My poor mom had to keep listening to the soundtrack, she also had to keep fixing the tape. I love you mom!

5. I wanna get better

This is an amazing cover of this song by the Bleachers. I really love it. This song makes me wanna get better.

6. Scream

If this song doesn't make you wanna scream then you might not have been a huge fan of HSM.

7. Jordan Fisher's voice

Yes, I know he isn't a song, but whenever he sings I just wanna get up dance. Dancing makes me become productive. He was in the Grease Live musical and is currently in Hamilton the Broadway musical.

8. Don't Stop Believin'

This song makes practically everyone motivated. If it doesn't then you're lying to yourself.

9. Cinderella

This song makes me happy. When I'm happy I can be productive.

10. Sorry

This song has a pretty awesome beat. I like this version of the video. It energizes me. It makes me wanna get up and dance.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
