a breakdown of what these 9 Colors mean

I first want to start off by saying that I am a sighted person, meaning that I am not blind, BUT my favorite Youtuber is. Molly Burke is a Canadian Youtuber that I found from Shane Dawson's channel a few months ago and I am addicted.

Molly went blind when she was 14 and much of her channel is her, in a comedic yet educational way, describing how she lives her everyday life as a blind person. She is big into makeup and fashion which she speaks a lot about because when you hear that and then hear that she is blind, it gets confusing.

Molly doesn't let her disability stop her, I honestly think she is pretty amazing. She is easily one of my top idols and not in anyway because she is blind and carries on like a sighted person does.

Go check out her channel and you'll understand. This article today is inspired from this video from her channel where The Gabby Show and Molly collab to have Gabby describe color to Molly. If I repeat a phrase, I apologize, there are only so many ways to describe a color but let me know if there is a different way that you would describe a color below in the comments!

1. Red

Think of love or anger. Red is a bold and passionate color. It is a great color when you want to bring attention to an outfit or something on a paper. It is a hot color that you can almost feel when you see it; it is angry and fiery. This is a strong color that highlights the lips of strong women everywhere and says 'Don't mess with me". It is powerful.

2. Orange

Orange is a hard color to describe but to me, it is a citric color. Even if it is not an orange, the sharp tang of citric acid makes me think of orange. It is a warm color, not too hot like red but not too cold like yellow. Orange is just the right warmth.

3. Yellow

Yellow is a happy color. Looking at the light hues can change any mood in an instant. It is the color of the sun on a hot summer day, beating down it is a warm color that will bring happiness and calmness it its viewer. Yellow is on almost every flower so it is, of course, beautiful and the deeper it gets, the richer it becomes. Yellow, honey, gold, Vermilion. All beautiful bright colors that have a light aura around them.

4. Green

Imagine what you smell when you walk outside after someone just cut the grass, imagine what it tastes like to bite into an unripe banana, that is green. It is not only a color but a taste. It is all in nature, it is such a recognizable taste that you will always know the second it hits your tongue. Green is walking through the park on a spring day, smelling the pollen and the grass and the trees.

5. Blue

Yes, blue can be a sad color, but it can also be something that can be so relaxing. Blue is the color of the deep ocean with waves rushing in and out on the shore. Blue is the color of the sky on the most beautiful summer day that you can imagine.

Blue is a relaxing color, if you need to be calm, this is the color for you. It can be bold like cobalt, but usually, it is relaxing. It will wash over you like the blue waves of the ocean whenever you see it.

6. Purple

A mix between blue and red, purple is the color of royalty. It is a power color but is also one of the few colors that can change its mood based on its shade. A light shade, like lavender, is sweet and creamy. Lavender is a solid color and is a spring color. Darker shades are more transparent.

They are deep and are good colors for the fall and winter. The coldness of the dark purple highlights the coldness in the air perfectly.

7. Black

Darkness. Alone. To most, black is a scary and intimidating color. People in black are bolder and stand out in a crowd. It is the color of fear when you don't know what lies beyond the backdoor at 1am and it is the color of the monster you thought was under your bed when you were 5. Black is a lonely color but it is my favorite.

8. White

White is the most pure and clean color I can think of. White is the color that Hollywood associates with the clean freaks and technology experts. White is clean and light like fresh laundry. White is the color of daisies, the clouds in the sky on a spring day, and the pureness of snow. It is cold and solid.

9. Pink

Red and white come together to make this shade. Pink is pretty, light, feminine, and dainty. Pink is fun and has an energy of its own. Pink looks how cotton candy and bubble gum taste.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
