Just because you're a princess, doesn't mean you're perfect

A Definitive Ranking of Disney Princesses

Disney princesses. Every girl grew up wishing that they could be one whether it is because of her style, her beauty, her singing voice or even her handsome prince. Each Disney leading lady is not perfect but it is clear that some lovely, graceful princesses are more perfect than others.

6. Aurora
Aurora is definitely the least exciting Disney princess. She obviously lacks self-control, which is seen when she is drawn to the spinning wheel and pricks her finger on the spindle. She also has very bad judgment when it comes to strangers. For instance, Aurora intends on a finding a place to meet up with Prince Philip upon actually meeting him for the first time even though her fairies forbid it. Although Aurora is a lovely princess, there five other Disney princesses that are even lovelier and more exciting.

5. Cinderella
It is obvious that Cinderella is hard working, but she does not really have a choice. She either works hard for her evil stepmother and ugly stepsisters or she lives in the streets. Although her dress was fabulous and she danced all night with the prince, she made a crucial mistake. Upon losing her shoe, Cinderella could have just shouted her name and Prince Charming would not have had a problem finding her. Needless to say, Cinderella could have saved herself a lot of time and heartache and that is why she ranks at #5.

4. Snow White
Snow White is Disney’s first beloved animated Disney princess, so she deserves to be cut some slack. Snow White is not one to complain. She took the time to clean after seven dirty dwarfs and did not cry or complain once. Although she is wishing for a prince, Snow White does not waste time being upset. She takes it into her own hands and throws a party with the seven dwarfs. However Snow White’s only downfall is being too nice and taking an apple from a strange old hag and that is how she earned the coveted #4 spot.

3. Ariel
Although Ariel is young, she is a brave risk-taker. Not only does she risk being seen when she saves Prince Eric after his ship catches on fire but she also gives up her voice for a boy that she barely knows. With awesome sidekicks to help her woo her crush but she can also use a fork as a hairbrush and not be judged. Ariel would be tied for second but she chose to be a human over a mermaid and that is just a mistake.

2. Jasmine
Princess Jasmine is such an awesome Disney princess because she has a pet tiger and wore midriffs before they were cool. This sassy leading lady is not willing to settle when it comes to marrying a man that she does not love or even like. Another reason why Jasmine is one of best Disney princesses is because, unlike the other Disney princesses, she is looking for a life that does not include a prince or the duties that come with being Royal. All Jasmine wants is a simple life outside of palace walls. The only reason why Jasmine comes in at #2 on the list is because there is one Disney princess that surpasses them all.

1. Belle
Belle is the best Disney princess for so many reasons. She is educated, unique and beautiful. For starters, she is selfless and is willing to live locked up in a tower by a beast so her father can be free. She shows that reading books and true love can get you anywhere. She took the time to educate the beast and get to know him. Falling in love with the beast without knowing that he would transform into the handsome Prince Adam is proof enough that Belle will always be the best Disney princess.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
