If you're from the New York or New Jersey area, you are definitely familiar with some of the best cupcakes in the world... Baked By Melissa cupcakes. If you're not from these areas and you've never heard of this place, then you need to try these cupcakes immediately. Whether or not you've had these cupcakes, I'm here to guide you on the best and not so great original cupcakes they have. Disclaimer: there are no bad cupcakes, so these cupcakes are ranked as great and not so great.

"Tie Dye"

Rating: 5/10

The Tie Dye cupcake looks awesome, but the taste is just boring. I'm personally not a huge fan of vanilla, but if you are, this cupcake is the one for you!

"Cookies and Cream"

Rating: 8/10

If you love Oreos, you're in luck with this cupcake. This cupcake has it all- a chocolate cake, vanilla icing, an Oreo topping, AND it is stuffed with cookies and cream filling! Truly a masterpiece.

"Peanut Butter and Jelly"


Rating: 6/10

This cupcake is very interesting and honestly tastes EXACTLY like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It's filled with jelly and the peanut butter icing compliments it perfectly. It's peanut butter jelly time.

"Cookie Dough"

Rating: 9/10

I love this cupcake because I love eating cookie dough more than I love eating real cookies. Seriously what's not to love about this cupcake- there's cookie dough on top AND stuffed in the cupcake. Win/win situation all around.

"Triple Chocolate Fudge"

Rating: 100/10

THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE. Then again, I'm biased because chocolate is my life. This cupcake is chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. Chocolate cake, chocolate icing, chocolate cookie topping, and FUDGE STUFFING. This is truly a gift from the chocolate gods.

"Chocolate Chip Pancake"

Rating: 9/10

This cupcake truly tastes like a chocolate chip pancake. And you think that icing is just vanilla? Guess again... MAPLE SYRUP ICING. Yup, this cupcake is interesting and perfect.

"Red Velvet"

Rating: 8/10

Red velvet is just red velvet, right? Wrong. Baked By Melissa does it BETTER. Somehow, they make red velvet taste even more like heaven. A classic, but amazing.

"Mint Cookie"

Rating: 9/10

Ever wondered what a girl scout thin mint cookie tastes like in cupcake form? Well, this is it. This cupcake is the perfect blend of mint and chocolate, including a fudge stuffed center. It's perfect!
