Definition of Success
Forbes

This question will most likely show up in your future whether it is in an interview or a friend asking. What does success mean to you? This question has endless meanings for different people. But if someone asks you this question, and you’re lost, I can tell you where to begin with your answer.

First, you need to define what success is. To be successful, you need to define what success means to you. It might mean making millions of dollars or owning a Ferrari, but define it. It may even be having a 4.0 GPA. If you can’t define it, you don’t even know what you want. Across the world, success is looked at in many different ways. Yes it is nice to want things and have a goal to own certain items. Know your worth. If you know you can achieve a certain something, do it.

But I will tell you it is not about the money. I always thought the only way to be successful is to make money. You should never put a dollar sign on success. This is why, when you make all that money, will you still be happy with what you’re doing every single day? If you hate your job and making a good amount of money, is it really worth it? It is really true, you can’t buy happiness. Can’t buy someone to be your friend or partner.

One thing that success is connected to is people. There will always be people in this world that you have to interact with. If you’re constantly thinking about the dollar signs, people will read into that. Customers will know your intentions of only making money. If you constantly chase something, it will keep running away. Chasing money, will keep making you want it even more. Being successful is when you know why you’re trying to achieve your goal.

I always thought success was comparable. It is not. What your definition of success is, is personal to you and you only. Don’t ever compare your success to others because it will not lead you anywhere but down. Say your friend wants to be a model and you think modeling is extremely successful. But what if you don’t have those characteristics of a model, your success will be shut down immediately. Your success should fit you like a perfect pair of jeans. It is like your definition of success was made specifically for you.

If I was given a billion dollars today, I would still be doing what I do today. I would still be a student at Florida State University receiving an education. I will still have my group of friends. I would not change anything. When you find what you love, you will be successful. If you give it 100 percent and are proud of what you contribute to the world, that is success.

Success is all in the person that you are. If you love what you do and continue with that in your future, I guarantee you will be successful.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
