December is an eventful month. College students are finishing a stressful semester, snow starts falling and we get to spend time with our families. Although all of these things may not be the most desirable at times, they are just a piece of the puzzle that is December. I think the feelings that accompany the month of December can best be described by Gifs.

Realizing once you're done with finals, you get around a month off of school

Putting on a Christmas playlist

How you feel when your family doesn't let you open a present on Christmas eve

Going shopping for your family but finding something for yourself instead


Realizing you spent more money on yourself than on presents for everyone else

When you get the main gift you wanted

Finding ways to irritate your siblings

Seeing relatives you don't really like

When you come home from school and your house isn't decorated

Rocking you're ugly holiday sweater with pride

Finding excuses to stay inside because it's too cold outside

Seeing anyone who remotely resembles Santa

Deciding to come out of your room while your family is over


When Christmas finally arrives


When the holidays are over

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
