December is absolutely crazy, but it's the best month of the year

December Is The Best Month

December is literally the craziest month of the year. Everyone is busy, whether it's finishing out the semester or doing last minute Christmas shopping or planning for the next year's shenanigans. Even though December is actually so crazy, you have to admit that it is the best time of year and everyone loves it!

December is so fantastic. My personal favorite part of December has got to be Christmas. Everything is just happy and beautiful at Christmas time. People learn to love each other. People learn that it's better to give than to receive. People learn that life is about your family and the people you love, not about the dumb and unimportant things. I also love traveling and though I don't usually travel during the Christmas season, plenty of people do. December and the Christmas season is a fantastic time to trvel because you get to see how other areas of the country or world celebrate the holidays. Plus, who can resist spending an entire day celebrating the birth of our wonderful savior, Jesus Christ.

One not-so-fun part of December is finals. Finals are horrible and disgusting but it's fine. Why is it fine? Because after finals comes BREAK. For us students, Christmas/Winter break is at least two weeks filled with holidays, friends, family, shopping and of course food. I love to go shopping with my friends after Christmas while we are on break. I also love spending time with my family during Christmas. More wonderful things that happen during Christmas break are Christmas movies, hot chocolate, candy canes, tree trimming, Netflix, ice skating and maybe even snow!

December is such a fun time to be with friends and family. It is a time to celebrate each other. December is the very end of the year so it's almost like a final chance to come together and end the year on a good note by coming together and become closers than ever before. Whether you are just getting to know someone, becoming best friends with a good friend or starting to love someone even more that you ever thought possible.

December is about becoming less selfish and becoming more selfless. December is a time for joy, laughter, giving and family. Make this December the best December you have had yet! Reconnect with old loved ones. Make new friends. Participate in a white elephant gift exchange. Celebrate your favorite December holiday. Be happy! End your year with a bang and try something different. Have a fantastic December! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
