Dear _______ ,

You are not alone and are forever loved.

[I was recently thinking about how torn, distraught, and less some of the people I know can feel due to everyday situations that happen. I write this letter for the ones who I know, and the ones that I don't. I think it's important for everyone to know that they're not alone and are forever loved. ]

Dear _____,

I hope you understand that the girl who told you she hated you is hurting inside. Hurt people, hurt people.

I hope you know that people who make you change are not your friends.

I hope you see that the boy who made fun of your song that you wrote, probably really loves music. And for the record, I really liked that song.

I hope you don't hate the friends who so suddenly changed and left you. They did not mean to hurt your feelings.

I hope you listen to the voice inside your head; urging you to read your Bible, the book is really good.

I hope you see the multiple gifts that God has given you, and that you use them with intention and confidence.

Please don't take your teachers for granted; they want the best for you.

Please continue to be kind, even when it is not returned to you.

Never give up.

Know that you are free indeed. Nothing and no one can beat you when you have God in your heart and right beside you.

Keep going even when it feels like there is no reason to.

Boys are mean sometimes; it's whatever.

Don't believe it when you hear a rude comment about how you look, it's not true.

Be honest about how you feel, it saves you a lot of long nights in the long run.

People are flawed, but they can be so kind. Take a chance and talk to someone you don't know.

And lastly, you are one of a kind. You matter. No matter what hurt is stirring inside you. No matter how bad you want to give up on the people around you. No matter how little you feel. You matter, and you're actually pretty important.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
