To The Silly Boy Who Let Her Go

Dear Silly Boy,

You made a huge mistake. You let the one girl who was down for you and only you go. She would've given you the entire world and more and you knew that and took her for granted. She's beauty and grace and everything you've ever wanted, too bad you were scared of commitment and thought it would be "cool" to hurt her. Silly boy.

She was broken the day you decided to leave. You destroyed her. She thought she had hit rock bottom and would never get back up. Spoiler alert, she did. She's doing better than ever. The words "him leaving was the best thing to ever happen to me" have left her lips. She never thought that would happen. You see her talking and laughing with friends and find yourself missing her. Not missing her enough to try and apologize, but just missing her enough to annoy her on social media. Silly boy.

The day will come that you see her walking along, smiling and laughing, holding hands with some boy, and she will be looking at him the same way she used to look at you. It will destroy you. This time, she won't be there to fix your broken pieces like she did time and time before. You have to do that yourself, just like she did. You will finally realize how she was the one and then you'll realize she was the one that got away. Silly boy.

You'll try contacting her once you see her happy, because it'll eat you alive that she's someone elses' girl. It will hurt you knowing that she doesn't think twice about you anymore. It will hurt you to know that she doesn't get any feeling any time she hears your name anymore. It will really hurt you whenever you hear that someone asked her about you and she says "he's just someone that I used to know". Silly boy.

Hopefully losing her helped you realize that you cannot take girls for granted, because one day, they won't be there any more and you won't know what to do. You're going to treat them better, but trust me, you'll always think of her. In certain things they do, in certain words they say, you'll see her and it will feel like you're going insane. You lost someone who would've done anything for you. Now, you're just a faint memory. Silly boy.

Silly, silly boy.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
