Dear Princess,

I want to start off by telling you I am so proud of you. You deserve the world, and you went and got it! You are so unbelievably strong. I don’t know anyone who is as strong as you are. You have been through so much, and you have come out on top.

You have a very good heart. You truly care about your friends, and you are a great sister. You put your heart and soul into every person you meet and you see the good in people, sometimes a little too much, but believe me, girlfriend, you know I have put my heart into the wrong places too.

I love to see you smiling again. I love to see your eyes shining again. I want you to have all the happiness in the world. You taught me to never settle for less than I deserve. You told me, “If there’s a little girl down inside of you that believes he’s not That Guy then you deserve to listen to her. We. Deserve. More. Than we were given. We try to squash it down because we’re so content with someone else and can’t picture life without them, but sometimes you can feel it in your heart that this isn’t how it’s supposed to be.” That advice is something I have carried with me, and I hope you never forget either.

I am so glad you are finding your happiness again. I love that you are getting out there and creating the life you want for yourself. I am so proud of you for being yourself. You are handling a job, college, clubs, stress, and more, and you are handling it so well.
