Dear Jesus,
Thanks for being the greatest King of all time. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and helping to guide me in the right direction in life. You've always been there for me even when I haven't always been there for myself. There is power in the name of Jesus, he changed my life. I am a child of Christ.
People always ask me about you know. Why are you a Christian? Who is Jesus? Why do you follow Him? What has He ever done for you? The answer is simple, he's awesome. I'm a Christian because I have devoted my life to an awesome Lord who loves me. Jesus is the son of God, but he's so much more than that. Jesus Christ is the savior of the world who performs miracles and changes lives. Jesus Christ will receive you if you come to him. It doesn't matter what you've done, Jesus still loves you and wants you to come to Him. I follow Jesus because he is an amazing person. He's always there to help. What has he done for me? I woke up this morning, so I guess you could say he's literally given me life and everything it has to offer. What more could a person ask for?
I gave myself to Jesus at a young age. I was baptized in a small baptist church right down the road from my house. At the time I didn't completely understand what was going on or how my life would change. Now that I have grown older and have gotten more involved involved with my faith, I understand more. I was a child who would go to church and Sunday school every Sunday and would stay after church to help with whatever needed to be done. I was very involved around my church and loved every second of being there. Then one day my family just stopped going, which meant I had to stop. I was devastated, but I knew if I wanted to continue being involved I had to do something about this.I had to get re-involved in church, so I started going with my best friend and her family. I got really involved in that church and still continue to go there whenever I'm home and have a chance. Handing my life to Jesus was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I just this year got involved in a Christian organization on campus called Young Life College. It's amazing. We have small groups on Monday and club (which is like a fun night with sermons) on Tuesdays. There's also focus on Sundays. That's three opportunities to get involved throughout the week, and that's only the beginning. This club's goal is to have significant experiences that lead to a life-changing community. Young Life is a great way to get involved with your community, faith, and church to have a stronger relationship than you already have. You're with a group of people around the same age as you who share a common love for Jesus Christ. What more could you ask for?
Jesus Christ has not always been an important person in my life. There were times I was a non-believer because I didn't feel like he was hearing me or just wasn't there at all. I was at an all-time low and didn't feel like Jesus was there for me. I would go to my best friend asking what should I do and her response would always be to just get down on my knees and pray some more. He hears them, always. She's right, he does and he always comes through with a positive response.
Jesus, thank you for helping create my life. Thank you for always being there and supporting me in every decision I've mad, good or bad. Remember, heaven is cheering you on! If you ever need help in life with anything, go to Christ. He can always help!
