A Letter to the Best Dad in the World

Dear Dad, 

Thank you for being the funniest one of the family, but also the most generous person in the whole world. You do everything for us without us even asking. Me, mom or Hunter will say that we are having people over, and you instantly decide to clean the whole house, just for a bunch of 20-year-olds to make it a mess again. You may wait until the last minute to buy Christmas presents and drag me along with you, but you're always willing to splurge on Mom. You also built Hunter a huge Supercross track; like, WHO DOES THAT?! That's so awesome. And even though you and Hunter gang up on us, it's okay because it always ends up being so funny.

Our weekends at home together are the best, as well as the weekends that you come to visit. We always eat the best food, have the most laughs and sometimes (almost always) do some kind of shopping. The best (and most ridiculous) memory that I think the whole family has is our trip to Target involving the shopping cart. But we won't get into that. I also really enjoyed the night that you said you would do a cartwheel if that one guy made it to the next round on "The Voice," and you did it.

You're the pro at doing "Sic 'em's" but also the pro of wanting to leave football games early. But that's okay because we always go back to the house and do something fun or grab a great dinner (all while avoiding traffic). "I am an introvert" is one of your most frequent phrases, but I don't believe that because you are always making all of us (and our friends) die laughing.

I wouldn't be able to do anything if it wasn't for you. I wouldn't have been surprised as a 15-year-old with my first car, I wouldn't be at Baylor, I wouldn't randomly get to "work" for you and Mom, I wouldn't have gotten to study abroad in Spain, I wouldn't get to go on all of the awesome vacations that we have been on and I wouldn't have all of the pets that we have adopted behind your back (even though you end up loving them all). 

I think our best thing together is what we would always say whenever I was little. 

You: "Why are you so pretty?" 
Me: "Because I look like my daddy."
