So, it's not #nationalsiblingday or #nationalsisterday, but instead it is your birthday. I have been planning this one ever since I joined Odyssey. It was hard not telling you what I was doing.
The best thing that I can give you for your birthday: my words. How I feel with you being my little sister. I hope you enjoy this.
Dear Little Ravioli,
You are getting older every day and I do not think people express it enough to you, but you are surely ahead on your years. You are deciding on what you are going to do for the rest of your life in less than a year. Where you are going to go, who you are going to befriend. It is amazing how much you have changed.
But, while you are away at college, I have a small list of things to remember.
1. Do not forget to call home

You are also mom's little baby so I already know she is going to miss you a lot.
2. College is not about drama

It is not worth the stress.
3. Try something new
I know it's not your cup of tea...change, that is. Join a sorority, maybe a few clubs. Anything to make things a little easier for you. Make new friends. They'll keep you grounded. Make a lot of them in your classes, it will make the class more fun and easier.
Try different cuisines that you would not try on a normal basis. I know you love your Chipotle, but there are other things out there too.
4. Do not let others bring you down
Other people will try to tell you who you are or are not, but stay grounded. Stay true to who you are. Keep your morals close and do not let them push you around for it.
Romantic interests are also included in this. Do not change just because someone asks you to. Everyone, including myself, love how goofy and weird you are and we would hate to see that go away.
5. Stay true to you
Do not rely on others to do the things that you need to do for yourself. You are your biggest supporter. Again, keep your morals close and do not let other people tell you who you are. If people are annoyed with who you are, then they're not your true friends. Only let people in that love you for you.
I hope this helps you out a little. I tried my best at giving you motherly advice but I know I'm crap at it. Haha.
Sincerely Yours,
Sissy
P.S. Chicken, chicken, snake, turtle.
