It's that time of year again in the Dayton area: Festivals galore! There's something for everyone, and your taste buds are going to be in for a real treat. Enjoy some of Dayton's culture and explore its many fest options this summer and fall.
Here are 5 Festivals you should check out:
1.) Oktoberfest at the Dayton Art Institute, September 26 - 27
A Dayton staple, Oktoberfest boasts plenty of beer and food options. With quirky shops to explore and music to bask in, it's easily one of the most highly regarded festivals in the Dayton area. Hosted at the Dayton Art Institute, admission is $7 at the gate.
2.) Taste of Oregon - August 30, 1 - 6 pm
Ever been curious about some of the eateries in the Oregon District? This is the festival for you! A Taste of Oregon offers samples from the local businesses within the district. From Jay's Seafood, Lucky's, Dublin Pub, Thai 9, Lily's Bistro, and more. Check out the Historic Oregon District for all the tasty options!
3.) Dayton Greek Festival, September 11- 13
Enjoy a taste of Greece and it's immensely rich culture. Next to the Dayton Art Institute at The Annunciation of Greek Orthodox Church, the festival is filed with music, dancing, food, and shopping. Try some scrumptious baklava!
4. Chocolate Festival, September 26
Looking for close and convenient chocolate paradise? Located at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum you are invited to get CHOCOLATE WASTED! Claimed by many as the "Christmas of Chocolate lovers," the festival is free admission.
5. Taste of Miami Valley, September 18 - 19
Hosted Downtown at the beautiful RiverScape Metropark, a Taste of Miami Valley offers some of the area's best restaurants' food, plus new dishes exclusive to the festival. Past vendors included: El Meson, Mama DiSalvo's Restorante, Pasha Grill and more! With music, dancing and beautiful views, tickets are just $1.
