We all feel lost sometimes. Our world gets cloudy and we forget who we are, so here are some things you can do here and there to piece yourself back together.

- Learn to say yes a little more often. Be cautious and smart about what you’re saying yes to but no experience is worthless— good or bad you’re going to learn something from it

- Create. In any form you know, bring your thoughts and your visions into the physical world. Even if you aren’t creative in the slightest, doodle some things on a scrap piece of paper, or throw some paint onto something — anything. Write your thoughts down, all of them, even the absurd ones. It's such a release to just clear your head completely and being able to see the aftermath that brain dump.

- Do more things by yourself. It's okay to go see a movie, or to dinner, or to the park alone. Just look out for the world around you, people watch, make yourself laugh. Make a really cool, uplifting playlist, and walk around and pretend you are the star of your own movie. You would be surprised how much you learn about yourself just by just getting out of your life for a few hours without distractions.

- Listen to your instincts, you have them for a reason. Your initial reactions to things say all about you. If you see a jacket that is ugly but for some reason you love, BUY IT. When you hear a song that is nothing like anything else you have ever heard, listen more. Don’t put yourself in a cycle of the same old trends, that's not growth, that's stalling.

- Rant about everything. Find someone you trust and just let out everything. Ramble on and on about something and at some point you are thinking out loud and you begin to say things that you would never vocalize. You find out a lot about your thought process and how you feel about things in a very raw and pure way.

- Cut out all the people who are giving you nothing in life. People who bring you down, who make you feel small, toxic people that you only associate with out of habit. You deserve to walk taller than the manhattan skyline and you can’t do that with people weighing you down. You would be surprised how much influence those people have on you and once they are gone a whole new, positive, universe makes itself visible to you.

- And lastly, be a friend to yourself. Don’t lie to yourself, or hurt yourself, or be mean to yourself. Treat yourself like a best friend. Do things for you before anyone else. Free your mind and heart from every poor influence and be who you want to be, who you are, unapologetically.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
