A Day at the Beach As Told By The Cast Of Friends
Business Insider

As an avid beach- goer, I know a lot about what goes on there and I've experienced a thing or two on this list. Although "The One at the Beach" didn't really show the cast at the beach a lot, I've taken a guess at how they would react and what they would say if they were at the beach, just as anyone else would.

Casually walking on the hot sand as it burns your feet.

When you first walk onto the beach, and you feel how the sand could compare to a boiling pan of water on the stove. but you have to pretend it's okay. You don't wanna be the only person in your friend group running to the edge of the shore like an idiot.

Not putting on sunblock.

I don't know why it's become a "cool" thing to not put sunscreen on, but if I did that, I would be redder than the couch in Central Perk. That's definitely gonna hurt when you try to shower.

Even when you think you're too cool to be turned into an aquatic sea creature, think again because you're never too old to have sand in places you shouldn't have sand and it's all for a funny picture.

When your friends want some of the food you brought specifically for yourself

You specifically pack one of everything such as fruit, a sandwich, a bag of chips, and a drink just for yourself. However, your friends aren't as prepared as you are, so when they're hungry you have to give up your apple.

When you're trying to take a snooze but there are people talking really loudly

For some odd reason, the sun always makes you tired so every so often you'll catch yourself nodding off but you can't seem to tune out the people who are making as much noise as possible. Of course, it's not their fault because the beach is where you're supposed to have fun but you always seem to feel the urge the tell them to be quiet.

Forgetting to turn over when you're tanning

We've all had this experience when you fall asleep or you get too into people-watching or a good book and you forget to turn over to even out your tan.

Seeing beautiful people

People- watching also means spotting a gorgeous guy or girl. You tell your friends about him/her and then they just become the thing that everyone in your friend- group looks at. You may even think up names that suit their looks.

Playing beach games

There's always a game of the year that everyone and their mother brings. You're most like either a professional at it or you're being walloped at whatever it is you're playing. You'll never admit to being bad at the game, so you make every excuse under the sun (literally and metaphorically).

Digging a hole

"Digging to China" is everyone's goal when they start on a hole. If the tide comes in and fills your hole, it's guaranteed going to put you back at least 20 digs, if you're lucky that it doesn't fill in all of your hole.

Trying to get out of the water and getting pummeled by a wave

You don't see the wave, you get pummeled and now you have sand everywhere, you're bathing suit is out of whack, and your friends are laughing at you. It's not funny in the moment because you have sand in your hair, in your ears, and in your bathing suit, but you're gonna look back at it and laugh.

Packing up to go home

When your friends want to leave the beach but you don't want to. You pretend you're not listening but they keep asking to leave. It's getting dark and cold you but you refuse to give up the relaxation.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
