  1. Makes sure you get home safe: After a date the man should drive you home, walk you, take the bus/train with you and if they can’t do that they should at least send a warm text making sure you’re home safe and sound. This should be a simple task since they made the effort to take you out.
  2. Actually listen to you when you talk: When you’re speaking it’s essential that your date is actually listening to the words coming out from your mouth. It is understandable that you may get nervous and babble at times but the least he can do is nod and give you direct eye contact. You’ll know that they are listening if they ask questions that require more than a yes or no response, paraphrase what you’ve just said and look invested in the conversation. If he takes a breather by strolling down his Facebook page that’s a no no …
  3. He offers to pay: If the man you’re dating is a gentleman he will offer to pay for the movie tickets, dinner or even your three dollar coffee. If you two are online and he steps in front of you to imply that he’s got you both then that’s a good sign. I am not saying that the man is responsible for always paying on a date but the first couple of dates he can show that he cares and not make it awkward by having you pay for yourself or worst both of you.
  4. He doesn’t talk down to you: This is one of the most important signs and should be a life rule. No one should ever talk down to you, especially not a man. You should never have to feel like you’re dumb or incapable of saying things that are relevant. Your man should be boosting you up and making you feel good about yourself. He should never feel that he is superior to you or its time he finds himself another woman!
  5. Shows up on time: Time is very important, especially when you are taking the time out to get dolled up for your significant other. If you two plan that you will meet at 8 p.m. on the dot than that means 8. Not 9:00 p.m. or even 8:15 p.m.. If he respected you then he wouldn’t have you waiting up for him with your heels and makeup on. Of course, things happen but it isn’t everyday that you get caught up because your dog was puking.
  6. He plans the date: Last not but certainly not least, this ladies is the most important sign. If he asks to go out and then hits you with, “so, what do you want to do?” or “want to come over to my place to watch a movie” or “you choose” then he is NOT a gentleman. A gentlemen will say “I’d love to take you out on a date Friday for live music and bomb music” the only decision you’ll have to make is the time that you’re a free. This shows that he took the time out to plan a date and treat you to a great time! … Now are you dating a gentleman? Never settle for less than you deserve ladies.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
