While watching one of my favorite shows on Netflix for about the third time through, I finally understood what it meant to be Dark and Twisty. "Grey's Anatomy" is one of my favorite shows and the two main characters Meredith Grey and Christina Yang, (RIP to my fave, she isn't dead just not on the show anymore) are referred to as being dark and twisty. Why is that such a bad thing? Personally I find it admirable, because they have suffered through so much on this show that they deserve to have the title as being dark and twisty. Now let me begin by saying that everyone has a dark and twisted side, sometimes it take a little bit more effort for it to come through. Think about the person you like the least in this world. If that doesn't bring out your inner dark and twisty side, I have no idea what will.
The first reason that I understood why being dark and twisty was a positive is because you keep it real. Finding people that will be real and honest with you is hard these days because people don't want to have their feelings hurt. Those people are wrong, simply because if I want an honest opinion about how I look: I'm going to the dark and twisty person because they will let me know I look fat (not phat) in that dress.

The second reason that I understood why it is okay to be dark and twisty, these people have a true grip on reality, they don't talk about the bull poop they know what needs to be done and said. The third reason I understood why dark and twisty, these people keep their emotions in check they never let you know what they are really feeling, which is a negative and a positive. I see it is a positive because I've been referred to as being dark and twisty.
The fourth reason I found is, if someone is always happy they are wrong. Just wrong, no one can be happy all the time, it is all a lie. That's right, I'm talking to you people that are always smiling. Cut it out.
The last thing I saw the light on about being dark and twisty was when you find that one other person that is as dark and twisted as you, they are a rare commodity. Some people are lucky to have more than one, luckily I have an entire army that lets there dark and twisty side out. Thankful to have those dark and twisty friends because they know who they are. #ShoutOutToYou! Those people become your family and you'll fight tooth and nail for them because you are dark and twisty and it's the only thing that will help them sometimes. If you aren't dark and twisty, are you doing life right?
Also, Christina Yang is my spirit animal. She is the person I want to be when I grow up. That is all.
