You gave me everything

My dad is the greatest man I have ever known. Want to know why? Well I was going to tell you anyway...

1. He's strong. Not just physically, but in the emotional ways to. He has been through a lot yet he is always there for his kids. His strength usually comes out in the form of being stubborn and finishing a project until it is done. I get that from him.

2. He is patient. He deals with a lot, he's a dad. He works, and does everything in his power to be there for us kids. He has dealt with everything from a bad attitude to deep sadness. He sits through cold soccer games, and sweltering swim meets.

3. He taught me about love. Now, as a girl I dream of someday finding my someone. My dad has shown me to only accept the form of love I deserve.

My dad, or daddy, as I have always called him, has been the first man to love me for me. To show me that what are complete flaws have helped me stand out. He makes it known in weird ways how much he loves me. Now I may not be little anymore, and my kite flying days are over, but I still remember tractor rides and zoo trips, because I will always be his little girl. I've grown and gone off to college. I spend time wishing my dad was here to help me figure out some problem or just hug. It makes the time I get to spend with him more important. He will forever be the most important man in my life minus my future husband.

A note to my future husband about my dad. First you better ask my dad for permission to have my hand. Second you better show nothing but respect to the man who raised me, and taught me wrong from right. He has helped make me the woman you have someone to love, and if you think he's going to give me away easily you have another thing coming. Please try and understand, my dad is so important to me.

Dad, a note to you, you're the reason I have grown (and mom of course). Watching you work so hard to provide for us kids has made me work just as hard to make you proud. I hope you are. I aspire to teach my kids the values you have instilled in me. I love you to the moon and back.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
