I know what you are all thinking, working in fast food sucks. I am not less of a person for working in fast food these past 6 years. Do not think I work here because I am stupid. I am very good at what I do. Do not treat me like I don't know how to do my job. Maybe you didn't speak up enough. Maybe I heard you wrong. I'm sorry you are so upset about a little mistake.I'm sorry I am human. If a oreo blizzard instead of a M&M blizzard makes you mad, I am obviously not the problem here.
1.Mistakes happen
I'm trying my hardest to make sure your order is right. You need to speak up when you are talking with the person behind the counter because you don't realize how loud it can be. Or maybe it's because your kid is screaming and I can't hear you because that puts stress on us too. If you think we got something wrong just double check. We won't take offense to that. We don't want to mess up either.
2. Treat the worker like a human
They are just people trying to make money. Whether they are in high school or in their mid 30's, they are still people. You don't know their life. Maybe they got laid off their job. At least they are still out there working. Do not think you are any better than them. Most of them are very good at their job.
3. Waiting in line is a part of life
If you go anywhere at lunch or dinner time, most fast food places will be busy. Everyone knows that. As a worker during those times I'm sorry you only have a 15 minute break. I am trying to go as fast as I can. There is nothing I can do if the cook is backed up with orders, they are trying to get it out as fast as possible. Weather you go to McDonald's or Dairy Queen, you will be waiting in a line. Even if you go to a sit down place like Applebee's you will have to wait. So don't give me attitude when you get to me and I'm running out food for other people who have been waiting 15 minutes for their food. I'm rushed too.
4. Please don't let your kid scream at me
This shouldn't even need to be said. If your child is screaming there is no way I can hear your order and I will ask you what your order was at least 3 times. I know you are stressed and the kid is hungry, but I physically cannot hear you. So if your kid is screaming please be understanding when I have difficulty hearing your order. We are trying to get your food out ASAP. So do us a favor and don't let your kid scream at the counter.
5.Enjoy your food
After all this, I hope you enjoy your food. All the workers hope nothing is wrong with it and we hope you will return.
