We all have those songs we could jam out to anytime anywhere. Or those songs that make you feel a certain type of way that you just can't explain. Recently, I found a few songs that meet that criteria and more. The great thing about music is that it's full of endless possibilities. Here are a few of my current music favorites, ranging from alternative sounds to R&B and dance. Hope you enjoy and feel free to listen to each song I recommend. Trust me, you won't regret it.

1. BRAVE'S "A Toast"

This band and this song's sounds are infectious. In this song, BRAVES compares a girl to different types of alcohol which is a really interesting metaphor.

Favorite lyric: "And it feels like a champagne hangover. But you hit like a whiskey & soda."

Genre: Alternative

2. POWERS' "Man on the Moon"

This song has such a nice beat to it. It's a perfect mix between upbeat and chill. This NY & LA based duo are great at combining instrumentals and vocals. Give it a listen.

Favorite lyric: "Oh baby, I am just a man on the moon, I keep spinnin' in circles around you. 'Cause I've been livin' where the black meets the blue, and it's all I've ever known how to do."

Genre: Alternative

3. 6LACK's "PRBLMS"

This song makes me feel like a frat boy and that's the best way possible. It's soulful sound is infectious. I'm not a huge fan of rap, but the rap with the background sounds and the beat makes for truly a unique sound. I love how 6LACK adds a soulful sound to his rapping. This singer/songwriter/rapper has great talent, unlike anyone else.

Genre: R&B/Soul

4. Khalid's "Another Sad Love Song"

Khalid's American Teen is one of my current favorite albums. The songs are all amazing and I am honestly OBSESSED. His songs range from upbeat to slow, but either way each have a soulful sound. Another Sad Love Song is not upbeat and happy and that's what I love about it. It is exactly what it is, "another sad love song." The combination of lyrics and instrumentals are spot on.

Favorite lyric: "You cut me deep and you left me wide open. I fought the demons that lie in between us. They'd think we're perfect if they'd ever seen us, but I guess this sounds like another sad love song"

Genre: R&B/Soul

5. Charli XCX's "Dreamer"

I love this song because of how upbeat it is. It's perfect to work out to or listen to whenever you're looking for a song to jam out to. It just has that "badass" sound that I can't get enough of it.

Favorite lyric: "Yeah, I'm an angel in the atmosphere, up in the penthouse, come and say my name. But sometimes I just wanna disappear, so then I spread my wings and fly "

Genre: Pop

6. COIN's "Talk Too Much"

I recently discovered this alternative band and I can't get enough of their songs. Talk Too Much has such a playful sound that displays some pop-punk sounds. This band reminds me of Neon Trees. It has a similar sound, mixing rock and pop for the perfect, upbeat sound.

Favorite lyric: "Honey, come put your lips on mine and shut me up.
We could blame it all on human nature. stay cool, it's just a kiss, oh why you gotta be so talkative? I talk too much, we talk too much."

Genre: Alternative

7. Alina Baraz's "Electric" (feat. Khalid)

One of my favorite sounds is the mix of chill and electronic. This song captures that exact sound in an amazing way. And of course, Khalid's parts are great too. I love the mix of the electronics and the soothing vocals. It's definitely a chill song to jam out to.

Favorite lyric: " Touch me, you're electric, babe. Move me, take me from this place. Movin' to the tempo, show me what it takes, speeding up my heartbeat, playing in the flames"

Genre: Electronic

8. The Chainsmoker's "Break Up Every Night"

I love The Chainsmoker's new album because they have such great upbeat, dance songs. This song captures a common situation about an on-and-off relationship. I love the lyrics and the perfect mix of slow and fast beats.

Favorite lyric: "She's got seven personalities, every one's a tragedy"

Genre: Dance/Electronic

9. Russ's "Take It All In

Russ has recently become one of my favorite artists. All his songs sound so different, yet they are so cohesive. This song, especially, I think is kind of comical. It's all about the lifestyle of blacking out every night, waking up and then doing it again.

Favorite lyric: "Every night we black out just to take it all in. Every day we wake up just to do it all again"

Genre: HipHop/ Rap

10. Lor Huron's "The Night We Met"

I heard this song on the Netflix series, "13 Reasons Why," and fell in love with it. It is beautiful- lyrically and musically. I love the romantic lyrics and the soothing sounds. It's one of those songs that makes me feel some type of way that I just can't explain. Give it a listen and I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about.

Favorite lyric: "I don't know what I'm supposed to do, haunted by the ghost of you."

Genre: Indie Rock

11. Saint Motel's "Move"

I love this song because it makes me move, as cheesy as it sounds. It's a great upbeat song with the perfect alternative sounds.

Favorite lyric: "Head, shoulders, knees, toes, look alive it's time to go."

Genre: Alternative

12. LANY's "pink skies"

I love LANY because every song is so pure and beautiful. This band has such a unique song and its chill sounds are spot on. Pink skies is on their newest EP. This EP actually tells a part of a love story with each song, which is so creative. Each song flows into the next in a great way. The lyrics are sweet and match the sounds perfectly.

Favorite lyric: "Get you under pink skies, I know exactly where we should go, cause I love the way your green eyes mix with that Malibu indigo."

Genre: Alternative

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
