If You Haven't Been On A Cruise, I Highly Suggest It

It's always difficult to decide what type of vacation to look for.

They always take so much planning and always cost so much money that you want to make sure that you're really getting your money's worth and getting what you want out of it. What I always suggest when people aren't sure what they want in a vacation is a cruise.

Cruises are great because they can be whatever you make it.

If you want to go gambling and clubbing, most cruises offer that. If you want it to be a complete booze vacation, cruises are absolutely great for that. They offer any type of drink and you are mostly safe being on a floating oasis. However, if you want to just casually drink by a pool all day, cruises are the best for that. They have so many different types of pools, hot tubs, water slides and everything that you'll be able to get your relaxation and fun in. The best is when they amp up pool time with different contests or pool parties. Don't worry, they usually do this in the main pool area, so if you're looking for a quieter spot to read a book, you'll have that option as well.

Cruises also offer the opportunity to sightsee and go on adventures. The great thing about the cruises is it's like a European or a vacation where if you don't want to lay around and be lazy all day, there is always something to do. Most cruises either island hop or even country hop and it's awesome because you can book so many different excursions that you can always be active and explore. You won't feel like you're just laying around soaking up the sun - if that's not what you want to do. But hey, if that is your type of vacation - have at it!

The food is always worth it on a cruise because they usually have a 24 hour station which will offer pizza and pub food, but they also offer fine dining. You can sit down each night to a fancy meal and get as dressed up as you want, or you can just snack all day. They have so many different types of buffets that you really can't go hungry and can eat a different thing every day. Some cruises even offer a dessert meal late at night during the trip, and other cruises have a dessert area where you can indulge however you please.

Cruises always have awesome entertainment. From comedians to family shows to nightly bingo, you can see something different each night. It's honestly incredible how many different performances they put on. The best is they also have fan interactive shows, too. Some cruises do a newly wed game at least once, or even a karaoke or talent show on board. When they're not doing that, it's magicians or any type of act pleasing the crowd.

Cruises are the best when you're going with a group of people who are all different. You can each do something different during the day and meet up for dinner, or you can all be on the same page. Regardless, cruises give you the freedom to make your vacation what you want it to be, no matter who you're traveling with and what they had in mind for their down time. If you haven't hit the seas yet, I highly suggest it for a vacation possibility. Just make sure to grab your sunscreen and go into it knowing you'll have an awesome time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
