U.S.

All schools have been closed, and most are making the transition to online education until the end of the year. Annual state exams have been canceled in favor of keeping kids at home. States are beginning to cancel all school for the rest of the academic year.

China

The center of the outbreak had closed its schools down in early January. The schools here have also transitioned to online learning as well, however some places lack proper service, meaning that some kids aren't able to keep up with schoolwork. On the positive side, the lack of new cases being heard of in some provinces of China has led to the return of nearly 1.5 million students back to school.

Italy

Italy has suffered a complete shutdown in its system due to the virus. The schools have also tried resorting to online schooling, and it is all but guaranteed that the rest of the academic year is canceled in order to contain the virus.

India

Not as drastic as the other countries, India's normally bustling streets have had an eerie silence in recent news. Schools are being closed, but not on a national scale like other places. However, it is also home to some of the most densely populated cities, so if the the virus spread, there could be many more schools shut down.

U.K.

U.K is shutting down all of the schools except to the children of "key workers" such as social service workers, government officials, etc. The majority of kids are also having to learn at home. The standard tests are to be replaced with unregulated tests at the end of the year.

Hopefully, this article has given you a better idea of what the situation is like around the world for different people. Remember to keep yourself safe and be optimistic about reaching the end of this pandemic.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
