Everyone is a comedian. But are they really?

Actually, only a few have what it takes to be a great stand-up comedian. These people are very funny and very good at what they do.

If you are a comedy fan, you are in luck! Because I am a comedy connoisseur. I have spent my free time listening to comedy stations on Spotify since middle school, so I am pretty versed in the art of the funny. Throughout all of my listening and laughing I have made a countdown of the top five comedians that I think deserve their place at the top!

5. Brian Regan

A class act. Brian is hilarious, his comedy is very popular because it takes you back to growing up. I like to call it a reflective comedy. It makes you think, "Oh yeah I remember that. I did the same thing! That did suck!" One of my favorite bits of his is when he describes how he learned the classic "I before e" rule or how to make something plural, he picked on himself but that made it even funnier.

4. Mike Birbiglia

Mike is messed up, but it's OK because it makes for better stories! He calls one of his shows "My Secret Public Journal." He describes his awkward personality and all the hilarity that goes along with it. He has a show dedicated to his sleep walk problem, which is a serious issue but hilarious, especially when there is a jackal involved (watch it on Netflix and that comment will make more sense).

3. John Mulaney

John is a great stand-up comedian, extremely talented, I almost peed myself listening to some of his jokes. My all time favorite is "The Salt and Pepper Diner," he is such a good storyteller that I was laughing the entire bit and I still listen to it again on occasion. The only fault I have with John is that he was supposed to have a sit-com show, it was hyped to be just like Seinfeld (I also love Jerry by the way). But the show was a total flop! It was terrible! By the time the show came out I have already listened to his shows multiple times and his show was the exact same, same delivery and everything. I was quite disappointed, not gonna lie, but I still love the guy!

2. Jim Gaffigan

Jim is phenomenal he is known for being the family-friendly comedian. His main joke is about how fat he is, which leads to food, which, of course, is followed by avoiding exercise, which is caused by his multiple children. Everything that comes out Jim's mouth will always make me laugh. I have been with him since 2005, I was only eight at the time but my brother was 13 and already memorized the "hot pocket" bit that still has people laughing. His comedy and his show are great and I highly suggest to anyone.

1. Bo Burnham

Here we are at number one, Bo gets this prestigious award because not only does he do stand-up well, he sings, really really funny songs. His observations are controversial, and he will be the first to tell you. I guess the reason why I like Bo so much is because I don't understand him, I can't figure him out. It's good because he is different, he provides the comedy world with such uniqueness that he is a hard puzzle to solve, but it's OK. His show "What." on Netflix is hilarious, I have watched that several times. At times you definitely say, "What did I just watch?" but Bo still manages to pull off a spectacular show that no one else will ever dare to do and will leave you in stitches.

Well, there you have it, my countdown of the best comedians around! All of these guys have had huge an influence on my life and have made it funnier. I hope you will take the time to look these guys up because you won't regret it!

Also, this is how Bo takes off his pants.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
