I couldn't imagine doing this without you

10 Reasons I'm Thankful For My Roommate
Madi Khamone

It's weird to think that out of all the people I could've been rooming with, we were matched together, and I couldn't be more grateful for that.

1. You're my person

I can always count on you for everything and anything.

2. You're always there for me

Whether it's me stressing about a midterm or crying over a boy, I know you have my back no matter what.

3. You give good advice

You always have the right thing to say when I ask you for advice.

4. We think exactly alike

They say that "Great minds think alike," and that is definitely true with us. No matter what the situation is, we always have the same approach to it.

5. You're always down for an adventure

Whether it's to take a trip to the hot springs late at night or bike all over town, I know I can always count you in on the idea, no matter how crazy it is.

6. You're so honest

No matter how much I don't want to hear it, I know I can count on you to not sugarcoat things and tell me straight up how things are.

7. You never fail to make me laugh

You can make me laugh until I'm crying, and not many people can do that.

8. You don't care how messy my side of the room gets

I'm seriously so messy, but no matter how many articles of clothing are on the ground, you don't care.

9. You let me eat your food

Whether it's your chips or granola bars, you're always willing to share.

10. You chose to accept me as your friend

Being roommates doesn't necessarily mean you have to be friends with them. Some people just accept it as the person they live with, but you chose to accept me as your friend, and I'm so thankful that we were paired together as roommates because you have made college that much more enjoyable.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
